@@Silverado82481 also the black wire on the plug in for Voltage regulator. I ran a ground wire for that also. Mine would die when fan turn on or turn on headlights on at low idol
@@dannyturner6421 sooooo..... lol ran a ground and got about a day and a half of riding still some hard starts and some no starts ( had to pull start it ) and then Book the rectifier actually caught on fire......... AGAIN lol so Im done with this thing Im not going to keep dumping money in it. Just goign to wait till tax season and buy something else
no im at a loss my self im half tempted to call it a loss and try and sell it and get something else honestly. only thing i have not tried is the stator I was going to try the stator rectifier from the factory and not buy after market and go with that. but 1200 bucks and a 50 50 chance it works is just to big of a risk as of yet
as of yet i have not figured it out. i feel like once you hit the start button it draws down the 12v and something is not working correctly. when you try to start it with the starter, she will have issues, how ever when i pull start it it starts every time with no issue at all. but as for now the mystery remains.
I did try the ground mod I actually grounded that thing a few times but that seemed to make it worse the rectifier finally cought fire ... litterally so i just sold it. i have a rule if you cause me more trouble that your worth your gone LOL
Joe, I know this post is three years old, but if you are still having issues I'm not sure what you did for your ground mod, but I have two 2007 King Quads and both had the same issues yours did. If you follow the negative terminal from the battery it just goes straight to the engine block and that's not grounded to the frame. The fix was simply to run another wire from the negative terminal on the battery to the frame, problem solved on both of my quads. Hope that helps if you still have this issue.
im game for anything at this point...... what is this regulator mod you speak of. is there a few different ones or is it something i can just google and thats the one your talking about
@@Silverado82481 basically adding a direct ground from regulator to battery. Don't bother though as I tried yesterday on my king quad and it still quits when the fan kicks on unfortunately.

@@IsmokeTouch dam !!! thanks for the info Ill be the first one on here posting when i figure it out. something is drawing on the 12v system cause when it stalls, sometimes you play hell trying to get it started again with the electric start........ however when it stalls..... and i pull start it and she fires right up one pull. its weird so Im thinking that the stator is not enough to run the entire bike. so when then the fan kicks on its too much draw and glitches the injector enough to where it stalls. and when your restarting the starter is draging the battery/12v system down enough to where the injector is not opening allowing the bike to start. but how so you prove that ????? lol that is the question.
