In this video I replace the Heater Control Valve to fix an issue where hot and cold air come out all the vents randomly.

To my knowledge there no such thing as a Stater. Maybe you meant Starter, if so, I have replaced that.

when you disconnect the hoses. is coolant coming out?

Yes. But I bent the hose back on itself to keep it to a very minimum. While the hose was bent back, I fit the new part to the hose. Hope this helps.

I’ve got no heat in my x5… You think this will fix it??

Do you have heat out every vent, including the center one, then I’m not sure. Make sure your Refrigerant isn’t an issue as well. My X5 had cool out the middle and heat on the floor and on the drivers side. I will say the consensus is that the Heater Control Valve fixes issues where heat is blowing out when cold should be.
