Bread Yep. Important to note, this is a 4.6 2v. Arguably the greatest motor Ford has ever made. No phasers, no variable anything. Just a good old fashioned chain, tensioners, and standard timing gears.
@@robbiewallace2754 thats not a basic 2 valve truck. you even say in the video its a 5.4 v8. ur a complete idiot and you make up bullshit. thats not the 4.6 v8 bud nice try tho
Linuxx @5:15 This is definitely a 4.6. You can spot the 4.6 by the intake manifold and air cleaner designs. 5.4’s have the throttle body mounted vertically, directly on top of the intake manifold. This one is mounted horizontally, slightly facing the driver’s side. 5.4’s use the box style air cleaner which mounts on top of the engine. This one has the cylindrical air cleaner mounted to the side. 4.6 uses an EGR valve seen slightly to the right of the throttle body. 5.4’s use no EGR valve because it is not necessary with variable cam control. This is also still a pretty basic truck. The STX was just an appearance trim upgrade on the XL work trucks. It added color coded bumpers, and grille bezel. Special wheels until 2007. 2008 used the XLT wheels seen here. It also added power windows and locks, and the jump seat with storage cubbie and cup holders, and over head console on crew and extended cabs.
