Browsing my old files of video recorded during my tour du monde of track & field, I've found some shots of Usain Bolt shaking his legs at the warm-up track in Beijing 2008 olympics, before breaking the 200m world record in 19.30.
All the greats look effortless. From Tyson hitting the speed bag and heavy bag, to Curry shooting threes, LeBron dunking in warmups, to Usain Bolt going at 80% but still running faster than 99% of the world.
19.19 wont be broken for a loooooong time. 9.58 also won’t be broken for a long time. Anyone that runs track knows how ridiculously fast those times are.
Well actually, I think that the 9.58 is in more danger than the 19.19. I mean three people (or two) have already hit the 9.60's and only Yohan Blake has ran a 19.2 in 200m...
@@sanchino7109 Well thats true, It would take some REAL training for him to get anywhere near those times again, and considering his age i'm not too sure thats gonna happen.
@@testingsomething5280 in my opinion the shorter the race the lest time u have to make mistakes and recover...that u can afford in the 200 hence Blake was able to err at the start and still came back to almost break the record ..in the 100 its a different story..Blakes 9.69 but for the headwind of -0.1 was near perfect and was still over a tenth of a second outside the record..i say that 9.58 gonna stand a veryyyyy long time.
I remember clearly the 2012 and 2016 Games, but this was awesome footage from his Prime....at the peak of his youth. He was just so damn fluid here it is really unbelievable. Man of Destiny. Born to do it for Sure.
I just imagine how all the other athletes from 2007-2017 must have felt to know they could never win as long as he was on the track. I would have felt so defeated and you had cats running close to world record times during this time too and it never mattered. You had Tyson Gay run the time of his life in 2009 of 9.71 and still be a good 2 meters back. insane
I think other elite sprinters like Gay and Gatlin have races against him where they think "If only just..." like that race where Gatlin was going to beat Bolt but lost his form right at the end
Notice how his warm up turn overs are speedy...then you can see why the record was coming and will remain...I don't see anyone breaking or equaling it even if they on drugs...Bolt is ONE OF A KIND... #BLESSED
Bruh Yohan Blake ran 0.07 seconds slower than Bolts record so eventually someone will beat it. The only untouchable records have been set by Wayne Gretzky.
..gifted DNA are created, champions are made by hardwork to enhanced and crafted to a fine art form specimen.. Legendary Mr Bolt is one of the many among many who defined his gift into good used..thank you Mr.Bolt..
Everyone else stretching out the body too much whilst bolt remains compact in his warm up. Bolts priming the body for a race whilst others look like they getting ready for a training session.
Jake McCoy is right but I am going to add this you have a point there everyone performs different but his point makes sense gradually building the body through warm ups seems like a reasonable strategy I mean it helps me out when I sprint
Timothé BODIN This was the record he set at the 2008 Olympics. Then he broke his own record in Berlin at 19.19. So at the time it was a world record race at 19.30, beating Michael Johnson’s record of 19.32.
World Record 100m 2008: Usain Bolt 9.69.. World Record 100m 2009: 9.58 Usain Bolt.. World Record 200m 2008: 19.30 Usain Bolt.. World Record 200m 2009: 19.19 Usain Bolt.. hope you understand now.
