In this video, I will tell you about my experience with the fuel consumption of the Honda CR-V 2012-2014. This is the fourth generation CR-V pre-facelift. It’s important because after facelift it used another engine and transmission for a little better MPG numbers.
So, I’m glad with the gas mileage I get in this CR-V which has the 2.4L 4-cylinder engine (K24) and the 5-speed automatic transmission, and also it’s all-wheel-drive. But it’s about 10-15% worse than the manufacturer says.
If you own this vehicle, be ready to burn more fuel than EPA estimated or Honda says in its owner’s manual. Unfortunately, getting to those numbers proved to be impossible however hard I tried.
