2012 Audi A7 BCM2 Not Working After Installation

Yes, the issue was that the programing procedure wasn't' completed fully and left have done, hence why it wouldn't "see" the key and so on. Odis was able to go through the regular programing procedure and get it done fully and properly. As far as used ones, I believe there are 2 types of bcm2, depending on years... some are "locked" and can't use second hand ones. But clone work might be able to be done, would just have to try

@@DTEAuto question for ya, Replaced this exact module on my car due to water damage. Picked up a used one from the exact same car plugged it in and it has to be reprogrammed to the one original from my car. Took my car to the dealer; the dealer said they can’t do it because it’s locked to the original car it came off of? Is that possible? Or is the dealer trying to take advantage of a bigger sale? I would assume you would also need the key and bcm2 of matching vehicle you got the other modules from

If I replace key and bcm2 is I need also to replace ECU ?? Because I don’t know if the engine will start with new bcm2 and pulled from different car
