The reviewer in question is 6 feet tall and weighs 180lbs which is 3 inches taller and 5lbs less than the average male UK citizen according to the NHS.

I just drove my mom's summit with the 5.7 and it's a beast, not as refined as the ml 350 that she was thinking of getting but definitely more rugged and way faster, and 10.000 less expensive, loved it .

We have a 2011 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland Summit. We bought it with $127,000 Mi on it. It's had some issues the computer failed the engine mounts gave out. Other than that we just love the vehicle. It was about $5,000 in repairs but it was worth it. It now has 137,000 on it and we still love it fancy interior everything still works properly nothing like a jeep!

This guy definitely knows his sht. Awesome review. I love American reviewers who openly want to compare Jeep with Land Rover(while others ignore it). Some might think its not important but the smarter people know it is.

Even for back then, I never understood why Chrysler put that aftermarket looking radio in the Jeep. It doesn't look like a factory infotainment system. It looks like something you would go to Best Buy and have them install in your car.

Planning on buying a new Grand Cherokee next year. I've been thinking about a Laredo X to get the HEMI as cheap as I can. With all of this being said, even though the transmission deal doesn't really matter to me, I may wait for the 2014 to come out. But since next year will mark the 20th anniversary of my family's memorable relationship with Jeep, I'll prob get the 2013. :)

I love my 2011 hemi grand Cherokee limited and would definitely put it up against any range rover, land rover, or any 4wd on the planet! JEEP RULES THE ROAD AND OFF ROAD

just bought mine 2 weeks ago what an amazing vehicle glad I went with the 13 instead of the 2014 from all of the problems I'm reading about and no I wouldn't take my 40,000 plus vehicle off road but it's nice to know it can

grand cherokees comes stock with 3.6 v6, with an optional 5.7 hemi v8 and 3.0 turbo diesel. grand cherokee srt8 only comes with 6.4 v8.

5.7 V8 Hemi avail in all trims for 2013 GC - the SRT8 is a 6.4

@ t4h2c054 i own a Grand Cherokee Laredo 4x4 select trac and while driving it runs at normal operating temp but after driving for a while and stop somwhere and put the vehicle in park with the motor still running the temp begins to climb and it starts to overheat is this the problem you had if so then replacing the fan relay as in the video did that fix your problem

@Brad300ZXS16 Do you know what changes they are making to the Grand Cherokee for 2014?

I read somewhere that, for offroading, it is better to get a rigid suspension and do a lift,instead of getting the variable suspension. Any truth behind this guys? It had something to do with being able to fit bigger tires on the jeep when it's in park mode.

Good! It's about time. Both the V-6's and V-8 models will be upgraded to the 8 speed autos and the outdated 5 speeds with finally be retired. I hope they also come with the new 8.4 inch Uconnect touch screens.

A HEMI is a V8. Before this new generation of 2013 Jeep's, Jeep had a 4.7 liter V8 and they had the 5.7 liter V8 HEMI and then they had the SRT8 6.1 liter V8 HEMI.

Land Rover is the what's called 4x4 but not so much 4x4 cause city slickers want to look like that they can handle some off grid but really everyone knows the most dirt the vehicle has seen is from wind blowing dirt.

I have the 2012 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland. Since the first 1000 km I have been experiencing problems with it. The dealership was not able to solve them plus they are running at 250% over capacity. The car is amazing and it will seduce you with its features and functionalities. The dealership in Saudi sucks. and when when you email Jeep America, they do not care to acknowledge receiving your email. I will never buy a Jeep or Chrysler car ever again.

Has more to do with where you live, and not the Manufacture. Not their fault you live in the sand box. Move to the US and you'll have all the support you need

Which is uncanny since the Range Rover has now become a more, let's say portly and less enthusiastic off-roader than in the past. Whereas the jeep is still improving both it's luxury and it's capability, the Range Rover seems to be sacrificing off road capability for luxury and meaningless frippery such as the Evoque.

Shame they didnt make the Overland without the huge glass panel in the roof. Not a fan of sunroofs on any vehicle, especially a 4x4 off roader, and more so those panoramic holes in the vehicle :-) Nice looking 4x4's otherwise.

I hate how vehicles have a lot of similar interior designs.

I'm sure it's capable off road, but like the reviewer says, $51,000 luxo vehicle is not what you want to go bouncing off rocks and trees. Off roading, get a beater Jeep. My Jeep dealer also sells Mercedes. To me, the Jeep beats the $80,000 MB SUV's.

Chrysler is wasting its time. They only need two models. Wrangler and Grand Cherokee. What they is a decontented barebones GC to appeal to those of us who want an affordable offroad people mover without paying for all the luxuries that have nothing to do with off roading.They could call it the Rubicon edition.

Jeep had the 1st SUV's out and that was before Land/Range Rover ever appeared. In fact, the foreign company got their ideas from Jeep. So shut up to the naysayers. 2nd, these newer model 2013 Jeep's are all V6's unfortunately unless you get the SRT8 V8 version. The Limited and Overland trims which are usually V8 models (with V6 options from previous Gen's) are now V6's. I was looking online for any V8's and all I could find were the HEMI versions for 2013 models.

Compared to the Wrangler these things are shite. They shouldn't even call them Jeep
