I followed these instructions and read the PDF religiously. I installed it just like this on my 07 GT, but the red LED stays on after I turn on the car, and the 2 step stays on even without the clutch being pushed in. Did I install it wrong? Or do I have a defective unit?
Just installed the 2 step on my boss 302 and went out to the track last night. I had it set on 5k then 5.2k. Both were to low which caused me to keep bogging. Went 7.4 in the 1/8 with a 1.7 60'. It's got a lot more in it, just need to fine tune the launch rpm.
+David Jenkins what is your tire setup? I am looking to cut my 60 ft down below my typical 2.0. This along with tires should do the trick. Does the boss have different oil pump gears than my car? Have you upgraded yours? Somebody left a comment on this video saying I better upgrade them or they will break with the 2 step....
moostang09 I have 15x10 SVE wheels and 28x10.5 Hoosier slicks. I'm pretty sure we have the same opg's. I'd love to upgrade mine but the cost of install is stopping me until I can get the funds up. I need a new shifter and clutch line also because I keep getting locked out of 3rd at high rpm's. A buddy of mine has a ton of launches off 2 step with stock opg's and his are srill holding together.
Next time, remove the pcv hose from the intake side first so that you can turn it to be able to properly disconnect it from the pcv breather valve. This way you will avoid damaging the clip. If that thing does not seat properly you'll run into vacuum leaks. great video btw
What up Sean?! That sounds so dope!! Dude how far is the track from your house? The closest one from where I live is the Lebanon Valley Dragway in West Lebanon, NY. I've been there to see John Force raced Cruz Pedregon. It was so loud and no I didn't have ear muffs lol. Oh there is Lime Rock racing track and a couple of small oval tracks in CT as well. I have an 1/8th Mike track that is really close but there are rumors that it's shutting down this year. Thanks homie, I gotta go out and get them so thing special. Usually do flowers and some candy.
+Savage5oh yes sir it can be hooked up for that. Where we used the white and blue wire for the clutch you would just use the blue solid wire and hook that up to a switch.
+Jacob R. Doty from what I am reading it could possibly damage the oil pump gears which is something i have been looking into swapping out anyways. I know I need to do it just a tad bit nervous about the install.

As long as you're not stupid with it, it should last, oil pump gears shatter because of vibrations. So with that being the case you don't wanna stay on the two step for too long.
HELP, my 07 GT dosent have the green and black wire it has black and white and I don't know which to use, and you don't need to weld the axle tubes just buy a SWARR BAR they work awesome I have them on 2 cars
