Thanks, changed the intake and exhaust solenoids like the dealer told me and now I'm going to change this part. Car isnt acting up though, just throwing the code p16cf.

Has anyone had an oil leak from this component? I have a leak somewhere and it's originating from the top rear of the engine, looks like its right under this part.

I changed mine in my 2015 Impala 2.5 and mechanic suggested an engine flush and better oil. I’ve heard so many opinions about Pennzoil that were bad and every mechanic recommend Valvoline or Mobile oil.

I have a question but first thank you for the video. I changed the part engine light turned off . Still off after a few months but when I start over the car it makes a rattling noise just as I turn on the engine then it's quiet the noise seems to come from the front of the engine have any idea what it could be. Engine light is still off . Also car stutters when auto start and stop stops at a red light then when I leg go if the brake and push the gas it stutters and won't start I have to put on park then turn in sometimes I have to wait 4 min to turn on please help me thank you

Question new bolts have black peace do they stay on bolt while tighten or do u remove them

Did you change the oil once you were done? I saw that it recommended that you change the oil when you replace this part..

Did yours stutter and shake around 1500 RPM? I replaced intake and exhaust solenoids on mine, CeL keeps coming on and then it turns off only to come back ok.

Did your check engine come back on after this?

I just disconnect the battery and the light never came back on

For anyone arriving here 2020 and on....there is a Special Coverage Adjustment by GM on this, it's now warranty repair for 2014's static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2020/MC-10177367-9999.pdf

One of the two circular pieces on top of the part in my 2014 malibu some how blew off and spilled all the oil alover the engine made a mess / left me stranded. Any one know why this happened?
