I'm researching used suvs and this is my top choice as of now. I think i would buy warranty to because I've heard alot goes wrong to soon.

I had a '13 XF for more than two years, drove it almost 50k km during that time and never had any issues with it. From my experience, it's a very reliable car.

Excellent break down my thoughts exactly these are surprisingly solid and BMW has gone to a strange electronic steering feel that's heavy but has no feel idk and yes Cary Imports will fix everything before selling the car so you are right about that but yea unlike Jags the materials and solidity of land rover far exceed jags despite being in the same family which I think is very interesting. Glad to hear that my friend yea that's the only way for normal people to enjoy these cars and yea I'm sure they charge more for a Range rover I believe a gentleman commented he paid over 10k for a 7 year warranty or something. For most Japanese cars a warranty only costs like 2k i believe

Honestly its hard to tell because the 2013 I drove was the supercharged V8 sport model so it was different from a "regular" RR from 2013. Because of this I actually thought the 2013 was actually a bit more fun to drive but again the Supercharged V8 probably had retuned tighter suspension. If I drove a regular 2013 RR I would probably like this 2014 more

@@MeynMotorGroup ever watch video Bob? He is pretty awesome. He bought his phantom for 55k, had a few minor issues. He has a full shop and does all the work there. Shows it all too.

@@MeynMotorGroup I would love to see a savagegeese style comparison between a 2005ish phantom and a new g80. The phantom is baller af but the technology is ancient. But on the g80 all the latest tech is there but it's not a rolls. What would you choose and why. Setting aside any warranty issues and maintenance associated with the rolls. Let's say you do that all yourself or with a mechanic buddy we all have.

A lot of cars have good ride quality its not a trait that only Lexus has pretty much any luxury car rides good

@@marisolpooh1 If out of warranty, yes, maintenance can be expensive. Basic maintenance such as oil changes and brakes can raise your eyebrows the first time you see the bill. I have a 2014 RRS V-8 dynamic supercharged. Purchased new and just now getting close to 80k miles. I tend to take very good care of my vehicles. Meaning, I follow suggested maintenance guidelines and only let a dealer touch my vehicles. I purchased expecting maintenance to not be cheap (had a 540 BMW before) so I have not been shocked. With that said, I have not had many problems with the vehicle. The 80k check has been one of the most expensive service checks to date (@$4k); a couple of issues were found and fixed. I had another issue about 1.5 years ago that involved a suspension system repair and other maintenance, which came to just under $4k, so in all honesty, I was not happy about the recent bill. But considering I expected maintenance to be high when I purchased the car, I couldn’t complain too much. I had a 2011 RRS before (V-8 but not supercharged), and traded that one just because I liked the way the 2014 supercharged sounded. Had only a minor problem with the 2011. It didn’t like my android phone. Based on my experience with my two RRS, I would purchase another unless something else appeals to me more. The car is decent on gas, but I tend to drive in sport mode a lot which guzzles gas. As for arts, the worst thing I experienced was the service 1.5 years ago. My vehicle sat at the dealers for a month while they waited on parts from England or wherever. The pandemic caused that delay. Fortunately, they always provide a loaner so I drove a Jaguar XE loaner during that time - so I wasn’t mad. That gave me an opportunity to test out Jaguars. I have since purchased another vehicle, so the RRS is not driven as much now. Hope this helps.

Haha Lexus is a fine car, I know there are a lot of Lexus freaks who watch my channel so they want to always compare their lexus with everything. I'm not a Lexus fan boy, actually I can't be a fan boy for any car because I review them. And Lexus has certainly produced some nonsense cars I'm not too fond of like the NX300h, UX, and LS 500h to name a few

I'm sorry but the GX460 seats are cheaply made , hurt my back and ride just isn't as comfortable, not to mention the terrible infotainment screen. They also don't have supercharged version.

@@MeynMotorGroup probably not wise unless you can buy it for almost distressed level prices. Prices expected to keep falling as many people bought on credit and the economy is collapsing under higher interest rates. For me, it's a toss up between a RRS or Cayenne. But it would have to be fully loaded and immaculate.

@@MeynMotorGroup Because Lexus/Toyota is known globally for their reputation for being the most reliable car manufacturer in the world. Land Rover is known globally as being an unreliable manufacturer. I like Land Rover, but to say they will outlast a lexus is just misinformation

What does reliability have to do with driving dynamics? How do you correlate the two as if they are related?

There are many different mindsets for people when it comes to cars

Warranty

Exhaust Sports Auto who care about a warranty if the car is constantly in the shop. In five years the car will have 140,000 miles. The car will be even more depreciated by that time.

​@@bngr_bngr You might not care but someone who wants own this car can because a warranty is available. You might be perfectly content with a Highlander but there are people who want to experience more than just the average that a vehicle can offer.
