On 3rd & 5 the Lions allow an uncontested first down. Watch as Edelman fair-catches at the 39 with no Lions within 5 yards of the first down line! They have backed off to make sure the Patriots can remain in their drive. The easiest way to spot a rigged game is to watch 3rd downs: Does the defense play soft and allow easy conversions? This means they are following a script and letting the opponent score. 21:08 How do the Lions play soft zone and leave this slot receiver (81) totally uncovered? Makes no sense. As usual, the opponent literally allows the Patriots to take the lead. Notice that at 29:51 when the Patriot defense is in the exact same situation, they cover _tightly_ using Man-to-Man. Any team trying to win covers tightly with man coverage on 3rd downs. 37:02 Notice that the Patriots, who are trying to win, play tight man-coverage on both 2nd&long and 3rd&long. Had this been the Lions defense (the team allowing the Patriots to win according to a script), coverage would have been soft, allowing Brady to pass to super-wide-open receivers against prevent-style zone defenses. At 37:05 notice that Patriot #52 closes in fast and tackles the screen receiver before he can gather himself and make an elusive move. Had this been the Lions on defense, the defender would have halted, allowing the receiver to catch and then escape for a run. Notice that even on 3rd & 12 Patriots are lined up to compete: Tightly covering man-to-man. The Broncos score one TD off a bad interception by Brady, yet even here we see a strange effort by Bronco #28, the Int. returning player, to avoid scoring. (You might ask: Why did #28 even catch the Int. if he didn't want to score? It's because the ball was thrown directly to him. Mole players are told to catch passes thrown to them that would be too obvious to drop.) To cap off the absurdity, the Broncos play prevent defense while trailing 28-7 and allow another Patriot TD to an uncovered Gronk shortly before halftime. Yeah no! You do NOT play prevent defense when trailing by 21 points in real football haha. This is the pattern of Brady's career as we see endless examples of teams playing prevent _as if they're winning big_ instead of losing big to the Patriots.
