This is a little old and i have a 2020 but even the on the 2020, I noticed the CCV runs to the intake prior to the throttle body. To add extra protection from throttle body getting gummed up, can the PCV and CCV be y'd and use just the port on the intake manifold and the port on the intake be capped off? Seems odd ford would route something like that in front of the throttle body. On second hand that probably lets them push the throttle body cleaning service haha. Thanks

What happens to the ground you remove for the bracket

While hard to see in the video, the ground cable is left in place

Product description mentions (2) 3/8” NPT drain plugs. Do they install under the cans? They’re not mentioned in the video
@mishimoto
@mishimoto 5 лет назад
They are both pre-installed in the catch cans and offer the option to drain the cans from the bottom or add drain kit to the system.

Willt this void factory warranty?
@mishimoto

This would be highly dependent on your dealership. I would contact your local dealers and see what there policy is on aftermarket parts, specifically the catch can.

Would this work on the 2018 Ford F-150 2.7L ecoboost?
@larrybe2900
@larrybe2900 5 лет назад
If it is port and DI it really isn't necessary. I think 2018 model year was changed.
@RobertKohut

@@larrybe2900 Still useful to keep the vapours out of the turbo and intercooler while under boost. Also is beneficial to keep the oily vapours out of the intake manifold regardless of type of fuel injection.

I'll gladly pay the $400 but no way I'll install that many cheap looking hose clamps on a $50k truck....takes away from the factory look of the kit
@mishimoto

The worm-gears are much more effective than the unsightly OEM spring-clamps.

you stare into your engine bay? kinda weird, a hose clamp is a damn hose clamp, if you want pretty then do it yourself?
@RobertKohut
@RobertKohut 4 года назад
I try to position the clamps for easy tightening and turn the screw part to a location that makes it less visible. Then when looking at the clamp you just see the flat band. Looks okay then.

You mean the same style hose clamps Ford used for intake to throttle body...or the clamps to connect to intercooler? Do you even have any idea what you're talking about before commenting?
