The full tour across Germany in just 5 minutes is what I want to present to you today. I just took my GoPros and let them run for a longer time-period as I was heading south from Northern Germany to the state of Rheinland-Pfalz in one day. And I would not have done this trip so relaxed if my car wasn't the new 2015 / 2016 Mercedes CLS Shooting Brake this time. Besides the gorgeous interior and the punchy 4.7 liter V8 Bi-Turbo this car features the 9-speed transmission and the AIRMATIC suspension. Both those ingredients made the car comfortable and quiet putting it very close to what the S-Class is offering. Within the next days I will also try to get the full DRIVE & SOUND ready for you will all the neat shots and features this car offers....so stay tuned and don't hesitate to COMMENT & SUBSCRIBE!

Im BMW fan myself. But this is the only Mercedes that i would prefer more than a 5 Series. The Exterieur if the Shooting Brake is so goddam sexy. xD

They call it station wagon only in German speaking countries. Shooting brake is everywhere else.

+TheFunkyair People than can go faster than 256 km/h could pass me ;) Average consumption was around 11 liter / 100 km, with reasonable driving style of course and thanks to the 9-speed transmission. It took me around 5:40 hrs to get south.

Waw..I've been looking at the fuel gauge from the start and at 689 km it's barely under half a tank. So technically you can do over 1000 km on full fuel tank ? That's amazing.

That's obvious he's driving a 8 spd automatic on the autobahn which is for the most straight... Every else turbodiesel car could do that.. and this is petrol!

I have the 2016 CLS550 and my car has 408hp too. What's the difference between the CLS550 and 500? Drivers on the same side too.

+Mafke Of course I did. I probably would not have to refill but I did to not run into an empty tank at the end of the trip;) Usually I take 30-40 min. of rest for that distance.

Thats great than :) People usually don't take a rest, they want the fastest in the shortest time arrive. I've read somewhere that on Autobahn is recommended every 2 hours of driving pause making. What was your average speed?

Mafke 125 km/h...but with constructions going on that's already pretty high...meaning you have to drive 180-200 km/h here and there to reach it.
