With V60 I found that Volvo is a great car. V90 must be really special.

I have the D5 inscription pro Xenium AWD with extras, its a superb vehicle. Had the D5 XC60 before the V90, the V90 is in a different class. Understated Scandinavian style & individuality suits me better than the usual German suspects but the class leading seating & comfort is what keeps me with Volvo. Mine has the optional ventilated, Napa leather massage seats to top things off

"But it doesn't come with a reversing camera, and that's a must as this car is huge" 😂 How did we drive big cars before reverse cameras and parking sensors were invented. If a person can't manage a vehicle without these gadgets then they shouldn't be driving! What are you going to do if the gadgets go wrong? Walk? Get the bus? Get a taxi, or just drive and bash into things?

Really unreliable, we own a V90 (mid 2017) momentum D4 ,I hate it it’s always in the garage and the build quality isn’t as nice as our old 2015 VW Passat R line, the plastics are horrible and hard. We also own a XC90 (early 2018) momentum pro D5 which is a beautiful car and yes the V90 is almost the same car but the XC90 is a reliable car it is practical and feels nicer to touch inside.

Volvo have a racing division, called Polestar Racing. At least here in Sweden.

The D3 and D4 both come with a manual as standard, not that you would want it...

yeah some people think of shifting as a chore.... those some people are also lazy bums that in general should sit in the backseat... many people nowadays can't even drive a manual, it's such a nice thing when you are on the road rolling hour after hour oust leaving it in high gear, or be more engaging when you come to the "country roads" as some would say in Norway we call it the highway :D loved my 850 estate when i had it, manual is so superior to an auto when it comes to us who actually like to drive the cars, not oust sit and steer like some kid on daddys lap on the way home from the neighbors.....

Wagons should have a 3rd row option. Why doesn't anyone offer this? Tesla kind of offers one in their Model S, and it's not even a full sized wagon.

So that they can advertise a lower price. A camera is of course available. By the time you option up this thing the way it should be sold, you hit about 70k Euro!

The Moose Kinetic is the base model this car is Momentum and the D4. The D3 is the base engine. So, I will buy a Momentum with the D3 or D4, only with Geartronic. I think it's nice that they test the Momentum and not the Inscription model.

Yes I'd go for a Volvo but this range is awfully low to get in and out of and lacks headroom for anyone of average or above height in the door opening.

Huw Williams there is a lot of headroom, im 190cm and still have lots of space

FsAviX Headroom inside isn't the issue. The lower height of the shallow angled A pillar and low door aperture is. You are not particularly tall at 190cms, but I venture that you brush your head on the door frame as you exit. The V and S 90 series has a small seat cushion to door frame top measurement, but also has that very angled A pillar that continues at least halfway back into the front doors. That much cannot be denied. If it suits you, great. Potential owners would be well advised to make sure it suits them too. It doesn't suit me. If it did, I would have bought a V90CC in preference to the XC90 that I actually have and enjoy. At least they provide a choice to suit everyone.

Yes this can be an issue for sure, I have a Volvo V70 and this model has the same issue, my wife has banged her head on countless occasions, I have had to give her special instructions on how to keep herself in an upright position when getting in, and leaning her head to the left at the very last second to avoid the A pillar ! whereas before she would lean forward to avoid it, but would collide with the A pillar half way down !!

Agreed.,im 6.2 and find im sitting too low cos if i put my seat to my usual position my head bumps on the right.That said im willing to put up with it for the drive,looks,luxury,safety and general super coolness of my car haha.I also drive an 850r estate and its much more comfortable to sit in

This is not only the best looking estate currently on sale, it's also the best Volvo. Although I'd have the Cross Country version personally, best of both worlds.

This is the model Volvo sent out to us. We received the S90 in R design not too long after we shot this (Check that out here - news.carkeys.co.uk/volvo-s90-review). We do however think it was good for viewers to see what they could get at entry level. We think it's pretty impressive as a base level, would you agree? :)

yes I agree, 90% of reviews are of the Inscription model, so it's nice to see what's on offer lower down the wealth scale too :-)
