Thanks! Glad to help. I had a hard time trying to figure out if they would fit. So made the video to try help fellow RT owners. I am so happy how they turned out. Highly recommend the rims. I’m very picky with rim choice lol. Also I ceramic coated my rims before installing them and it’s amazing how much cleaner they stay and much easier to clean. I recommend doing that to any set of wheels you get.
Awesome,i didn't think about the plastic to be adjusted better with screws and stuff. I have 1/4 inch spacer on back with 305s on 9.5 rim..no issues.my daily driver..but its a 1320 challenger.
@@hanzen5174 no I’m even wear. I did a line in the car to SRT specs and have since put drag radials on the rear and zeroed out my rear camber traction is greatly improved all around with the 275/305 set up.
Yeah I’m very happy with it. Wouldn’t change anything. I also did rear camber arms and set the rear camber to zero. Puts the whole tire on the ground and gives way more traction and less wheel hop. I absolutely love black don’t think I could buy any other color.
Can I ask you about the front spoiler? I love that it's barely visible I can't stand those massive things that stick 3 feet off the front, did you use the V6 chin or something else? Your car is just perfect!
The one that’s on the car in the video is the factory R/T front air dam. I did end up swapping a factory scat pack front air dam after damaging my my factory one. I wanted a little bit bigger than stock and for me the scat pack (aka SRT) air dam was just big enough without going to crazy with the really big aftermarket ones. Check out my Instagram if you wanna see pictures of the new air dam @chmilar
I got them locally through our rim supplier. I still see them available on factoryreproductions.com There are a few replica rim companies that make them.
I’m very impressed with them so far. Haven’t done any 0-60 times yet but will be soon. It keeps the rear end way more planted all around. I’ll try posting a video of some aggressive launches. To see how they hook from a dig.
Thanks appreciate it! The 305/35R20 tire makes it slightly shorter and puts the Speedo out by 1km/hr. If Speedo shows 100km/hr I’m actually doing 99km/hr. I have a tazer installed and I could change the tire circumference to make the speedo dead on. But I felt like I should just leave it since it gives me that 1 km/h safety zone for speeding 😂. Car is stock Height but I do have the super truck pack suspension which gives me Bilstein Front and rear strut assemblies and from what I’ve heard is an inch lower than a regular RT without Bilstein
I've been considering getting the tire setup for my challenger srt8. Mine currently has Goodyear eagle all season tires. 245/45/20 for the front and 275/45/20 for the rear. I wanted some 305 for the back but was told that I would need spacers for wider tires. I was a little hesitant since I'm not sure which size spacer would work best for fitment. Any recommendations would be appreciated 👍.
What rims are you looking to put the 305 on? Ultimately a 305 tire needs at least a 10” wide rim. I’m running a 10.5”. With the aftermarket replica I have there is lots of space for the 305 in the wheel wells.
@@MattsMoparMadness ok. Yeah the rims I would like to keep the stock srt rims I have on there now. I think they are 9.5 all around. Have to double check that one.
@@bitemyshinnymetalass1569 ah ic. I have seen people put 305’s on 9 and 9.5” rims but the tread section ends up curling around because of the rim not being wide enough. But I’m sure it can be done and depending on the offset of the rim you will likely need a spacer
@@MattsMoparMadness yeah if I really want a set of 305 tires in the rear. I would have to find a similar looking rim with the 10-10.5 width that would fit those wider tires. It's still something I'll think about but not a priority for now.
@@bitemyshinnymetalass1569 yeah if you are looking for more traction I would definitely recommend the nitto NT555R2 drag radials. There are great on the street! That’s what I’m running now.
Hey I have a question. I have a 2019 RT and I’m looking to run 20x9 all around 275/40/20 would I have any rubbing issues or am I pretty safe running that setup. (Stock suspension btw)
You shouldn’t have a problem. The only thing that will be close is the front spindle to tire clearance. Factory wheel or aftermarket. Do you know the offset of the rim your using?
@@CDalonzo Ok it will definitely be close but It will depend on the rubber you choose. I’ve heard lots of people running 275 up front on the factory rims with no rubbing. The 20x9 aftermarket rim I’m running is a +20 offset so my rim sits 0.8 mm closer to the spindle than yours will and I had about 3mm space between my tire and the spindle with no spacer installed. It just seemed too close for me so I put on a 3mm spacer on the front just to be on the safe side. I did run them a couple weeks with no spacer and didn’t see any rubbing. In theory you should have about 3.8 mm space between the tire and the spindle.(depending on tire)
I got them locally from our rim supplier. I tried to get another couple for my drag radials but they are discontinued. But there are lots of replica companies that make them. Also seen them on factoryreproductions.com
@@octogato yes but the car came with the super track pack option so it got bilstein shocks and springs that make it sit 1” lower than a regular RT without super track pack
Thanks for the reply. The reason I ask is because the wheels I'm getting are 9.5 fronts and the inside will be 1mm closer and stick out 11mm more outer edge. My 10.5 rears will have 3mm more inner clearance than yours and stick out 3mm more.
@@borri68 nice! I think you should be ok on the fronts. If it is to close for your comfort you can always get a 3 mm spacer for the front like I did. My rim had more clearance between the knuckle than my tire does. The tire is what I was worried about rubbing. Different tires brands will fit differently on rims. Some tires will have more room than others just in their design.
I was wondering is your car lowered? If not, do you think I can run this setup then lower my car about an 1” or so? Or will it rub against the control arm?
@@MattsMoparMadness Thank you, nice car btw I have the same one. Sorry I meant to say the upper knuckle or upper inner fender splash where it’s possible for rubbing if lowered beyond 2” .
@@Detmotorcity thanks! Is yours manual or automatic? I think you would be ok with two inch drop. Just by looking at the space between the fender/ liner to tire in my video should be ok. I’ve swapped to my winter rims and tires but still have my summer setup in the garage. I’ll throw one side on and do some measuring if your interested.
@@MattsMoparMadness Yw! It’s an automatic the only reason I went with it is for that 8 spd trans over the manual with the 6 spd. I actually have a 2013 plum classic too, I’m running 275/50/20 in the rear 245 fronts, gives if that old school stance. But the new R/T I got had 245’s which I find very funny on a muscle car. I got a deal on some hellcat wheels with 275/40/20 rear and 275/35/20 front so I’d have plenty of room for a 2” drop. I might go with 305 or 315 in the future.
@@Detmotorcity yeah that 8 speed is a wicked transmission. I went manual because I have never owned an automatic lol all 6 cars that I’ve owned have been stick shift. There are very few manuals out there. Trying to “Save the manuals” Driving stick has become a part of me. That 8 speed would be my choice of automatics tho. Definitely might have a little more wiggle room with the smaller tire up front and rear. I am so happy with the grip on these 305’s and love the look of my setup. The 305’s are tight as is so I probably won’t go up to 315’s. And agreed these cars should have never come with 245’s not sure what dodge was thinking especially putting 245’s on some of the scat packs.
It will likely all depend on the tire. The Goodyear I have doesn’t technically rub but it was maybe 2mm from the knuckle and it was just two close for me. So I went with a 3 mm spacer in the front to be safe
@@punchclan7186 The 2019 and up went to the style hood that your talking about. 2015-2019 have my style hood. Mine also is a 6speed manual. Can’t get a 6speed manual V6 😂
