2018 FOREST RIVER ROCKWOOD 19 ROO R1078 Hybrid Camper Travel Trailer RV Sales Dealer 

I think I found the travel trailer I want finally. The 19 roo is small and light yet packed with tons of features. Being able to sleep 3 or maybe 4 without ever using the pop outs is just amazing.

Well we put the Rockwood Roo to the test and it is not a Toyota. My wife and I drove form Southern Ontario to the Coast of BC with our Toyota Tacoma and our Rockwood Roo in tow. The Tacoma required huge amount of fuel and one oil change driving 10 000 kms there and back. I would argue the Tacoma performed very well towing the Roo thru the Kicking Horse Pass, The Rogers Pass and The Coquahalla Hiway. I can assure you the TransCanada Hiway is very rough in Manitoba and Saskatchewan. The Roo did not fare so well...I noticed one brake drum was always cool or cold..so one brake din little or nothing...The counter top started to tear away the wall paper ever so slightly on the end where the sofa is. From day one new The camper had a large gouge in the counter top. The TV does not work properly at all. The very worst flaw was the rear bumper...The weld let go and the bumper basically started to literally tear away from the I-Beams which support the whole floor and structure. The bumper was only saved by 2 Ratchet straps to prevent total loss of my bumper. I will concede I have two spares spaced evenly on the bumper but IMO this should not induce a failure of this sort. I have seen campers with cargo racks at the back with more crap on them than we had on our Camper. I am not impressed with the quality at all. I still love all the features the camper has to offer but this really sours the experience of owning a new camper.

I have found two things that could be improved...the table should be higher to avoid accidentally knocking out the emergency exit window and Rockwood should make a tool to latch onto the lock bolts when opening the beds. This is really apparent in the front where the bed is angled back and it is hard to pull the bed and fold it out. A rod with an eye bolt would work real well. Other than that...the trailer is great. Is it normal for bedding to get wet when in contact with fabric. I noticed my sheets were damp after heavy rain along the length of the bed.

Thank you guys for doing a review of a travel trailer thats longer than 3 minutes!! Most of the sales videos on RU-vid are like 3-8 minutes long and don't go into detail. Also, do you have to have a sick ass beard to buy from you guys>>???

My wife and I just purchased a 19 ft Roo and we take ownership on Feb 10th 2018. I have a few questions...What size ball does the hitch mate with...is it a 2 inch ball? I also would like to know if it is possible to replace 20 lb cylinders with 30 lb cylinders and still have the bed clear the top of the propane tanks? My final question is about the bearings....does the hub cover come off each wheel and expose a grease nipple, so that greasing the bearings is a simple task?

I wonder if the mattress from the tipout would fit in the config with the dinette and couch down. That would be a great option for quick stops overnights if we didn't want to deploy the tipout. ???

Good video, but as an RV technician hate any RV that has any type of pop out. You guys think it’s cool but I have to fix them straight from the factory, and they’re not fun to fix. And then dealing with angry customers when they discover that they just bought a pain in the ass camper that fails all the time, and that nobody disclosed to them that they are restricted from a lot of national parks due to fire safety stuff. But the video was good lol.

I really like this trailer but the shower is kinda small. .. I'm a Big guy. . just don't know if this would work for me. But the floor layout and materials used are very nice.

The description posts the dry weight at 3500 lbs, but in the video you read it off the RV as 3922. Which is it?

I was looking at the Rockwood website and of course as you have mentioned the Roo comes with Torflex axles. I know that they are the Easy Lube style but I also found out that they have Nev-R-adjust drum brakes. All Rockwood campers have this style of axle? My wife and I own a 2018 Roo and I just took it for granted that I would have to adjust the brakes...but now I do not have to...is this correct?
