I don’t care what you drive, weather it’s a Camaro, Challenger, Charger, Mustang. But we’re to busy fighting with each other we’re forgetting about everything else. Instead we should come together and fight the other teams like JDM. C’mon guys we’re team Muscle
@@josephr.8622 I have a 392 charger but would not compete with JDM , they usually have turbo , super charge + , know what JDM mean first before you say something like that .
I agree, mustang has a 500 pound weight advantage and the challenger has a power advantage. I think with better tires I could’ve beat him but it still would’ve been very close because we were basically equal once we got rolling
@@raymondrocco8607 he's not lying, I raced a fbo big choo choo chop 392 and 6.2 ss 5 gen manual and I stayed right next to them. Stock af with bald tires lmao
This is the only channel I have seen that has Chevey guys have tons of respect for both Dodge Challenger & Ford Mustang! My salute to you all! Keep safe & drive safely everyone! Thanks!
Personally I’m a mustang man but I absolutely love both rides and the fact that i can see a channel owner very engaged within his own comments section. Keep it up
The long tubes/cat delete are definitely helping you out man! Plus the shaker scats are a bit quicker believe it or not. The biggest issue with the 6.4L Scats is that they do not respond to mods well. All he has to do to that Mustang is a E85 tune and it will be hard for you to ever come close to him without cams or nitrous or something. (The 6.4L LOVES nitrous btw... 100shot and that car will make about 580whp AND ITS SAFE) I have a 19' GT and just E85/Lund tune alone COMPLETELY transformed that car. Good runs man!
They do respond well to mods. It’s just the guys with scats don’t know what they are. They need true bolt ons. Cam, rocker stabilizers, holly high ram (fuck a sniper), long tubes, no cats. Then they’ll run. Hemis are mean to turn rpm but these guys don’t understand that. I’m buying one this spring and I’m gonna out out some content showing what these cars can do.
all i have is bolt ons a cam and e85 and i'm making over 530whp. curious what my numbers would be if i do a 100 shot but i'm pretty sure i'd have to do some internal/ bottom end work to achieve that
Let the 8 speed carry you to the win. This shouldn't even be close with the mods you have in place. Def try getting him to do dig races - you should walk him all day. Keep on enjoying that 392 buddy.
R/T Life dig races might be even worse lol I’m still on the stock 245s and he also has a 500 pound weight advantage. And that new 10 speed is no joke, and thanks!
R/T Life false, stock 10r80 5.0s walk scat packs easily, better trans, better power to weight and the 5.0 has more top end power, mopars are over rated
@@Theedd9991 Stock vs Stock both having radials on a drag strip (driver skills being equal) the 392 is winning more often than not. Most stangs are in the mid 12's, yes there are great runs that hit 12 flat but more often then not they're 12.4 range. 392 with radials is closer to running 12 flat more consistently. So then we can start talking about freak runs right? That's typically what happens in these comments - the Mustang best freak runs are 11.8-11.9's range - SRTb5 in this stock 392 with tires runs mid 11's consistently 11.4 being his best. Give me the bigger engine - it's cheaper to lighten up a ride then add more HP. A win is a win - but this is not how a race would go driver skills being equal.
Nice shaker hood! The Dodge 392 and GT 5.0 are close. Love both of them! The 5.7 Charger Hemi (RT) is a nice alt for those that want to get the kiddo's to school fast and save some cash.
i would say for dodge, dont paddle shift, just leave it in D, put it in sports/track mode just before countdown keep (-) shifter pressed car goes into shortest possible gear and you are good to go. let tcm do the job.
As a 2019 Gt owner myself this is why ford is always ahead of the game, the fact that they can use a little 5.0 to produce such performance and power output is crazy, it’s like they aren’t even trying. Most other cars need a 6.2 etc to even get half of their performance power.
Donald J. Trump From The Trenches, maybe faster then the previous mustangs but not the 2019’s with 480hp and the 10 speed automatic...plus no one is impressed by Lexus it’s in a different category of “luxury” cars. We’re talking about pure American muscle. Can’t put luxury vs muscle
Donald J. Trump From The Trenches, plus if I’m not mistaken mustangs run under the 5.0 V8 coyote engine and Lexus run under a different 5.0 so it’s 2 different engines
deathvalleydemon41 that’s true but even in the 90s Lexus was still better than the mustang, the cobra topped out at 240 meanwhile the ls had 250 not to mention it only needed a 4.0 to do it mustang needed a 4.6
I own a 2021 Dodge Charger Scatpack and a 2020 Dodge Challenger Scatpack wide body, I've never lost to any mustang. Both of my Scattys are stock, topping out at 180 MPH.
on dragstrip 392's always out-accelerates coyote's provided good traction, highway is mustang's best chance being more aero. may b with performance package coyotes clock
The challengers unique design is just so cool. I don't mind getting beat if I still look cool losing haha. Mustang is nice too but not in the same way.
@@KCars In Autostick Mode it won't redline, it will shift itself at the limiter, just drop the gears and the car will run itself from there even in Autostick the transmission is smart enough to not hang in a gear, that's what he was saying lol
KCars autostick will redline your shit. I have a 392 Charger and when you shift it via the stick it won’t shift to the next gear if you don’t manually do it it’ll sit in red line. When you use the paddle shifters while the car is still on auto not (autostick) it’ll shift nicely.
u down shift with the paddles if u do 40 down shift to 2nd if its 20 to 1st once u floor it it will auto shift for u... U dont put yoo shit on manual mode floor it and shift it back to auto wtf🤦🏻♂️🤦🏻♂️
Yeah I should’ve been in 2nd but I’m still on the stock tires so I would’ve just spun the whole time and it would’ve been worse. And what’s the big deal with me using manual mode to downshift and then putting it back into auto? Lol
@@KCars I've pulled on stocks before an u get little to no spin on 2nd going 40 on 1st going 20 u definitely spin out no doubt.... when u switch to manuel pull and switch back to auto ur creating a lag on the pull fuking up ur chances right at the get. trust me bro go out and do it how u been doing it then try it the way I'm telling u bro its night and day trust👌🏼
Miguel Angel if I’m telling you that I’ll spin in second how can you be so sure that I won’t? Lol not every single Challenger has exactly the same tires. And the way you’re saying will be no different than what I’m doing, there’s no lag at all, there would be lag if I didn’t downshift and made the car downshift by itself when I floored it, hope this clears some things up for you👍
It looks nice on camera, but it’s a very cheap plastic. I work at a dealership and i have to drive chargers/challengers sometimes. They’re nice, don’t get me wrong, but it bothers me how cheaply made the components feel.
Anytime I’ve raced a mustang in my 16 challenger scatpack 6spd, it’s neck & neck or I pull on them. Even when it was stock All I have is a 93 canned tune & hellcat intake tube. You have headers / tune /exhaust / automatic trans etc, I’m really confused as to how that mustang is pulling on you at all. Who did your tune?
I think it mostly had to do with traction and the mustang had the 10 speed so it was in the power band more. I should’ve been starting in 2nd but I started in 3rd so I wouldn’t have traction issues. I got mine tuned by OST dyno.
Funny, every time I've raced a scat (challenger or Charger) in my 13 5.0 I pull on them. I'm FBO E85 now so I gap them now of course, but I've never lost to one.
Scatpack had his windows down plus he’s heavier. Windows down creates more drag not enough to notice but maybe enough to loose if mustang had 1/4 tank of gas, windows up and the jump because he’s honking. Drag strip is the best way to compare and the numbers work out in the end… also these cars with computers can decide for you to loose anytime anywhere especially if you aren’t meticulous with cleaning/maintaining your sensors (like your map sensor 🤦🏻♂️) and measuring your octane. All of these things are trivial but little things add up…
Scott Mccauley I live in Houston.. we have more females/teens driving stangs.. it’s way to small for my taste.. I feel like I can knock their car out of the road with a small bump..
That scatpack sounds nasty... I got a 5.7 with mid and rear muffler delete it sounds great probably slightly louder then a normal scatpack with no mods. I want long tubes but isnt it illegal where they do e checks?
6.4L HemiPower those new mustangs are no joke, he raced a friend with a Charger Scat pack and said he put 6 car lengths on him. With the 10 speed he’s always in the power band. And the reason I didn’t leave it in auto the whole time was because I lose time waiting for the car to downshift on it’s own, that’s why I downshift myself and then put it back in auto when I punch it
lol reading these comments is hilarious sorry fellas but the Mustang from a roll is just faster he doesn’t even have the performance pack car I dog walk 392’s all day long both cars are great but top end the mustang is just faster
Muscles & Cars I feel like if we started from a higher speed it would’ve been much closer. But yeah most people on here don’t realize how much of a difference 500 pounds can make
@@zZVibes I'm talking engines the bottom end of the 392 is weak asf .... The Coyote can take 24 lbs of boost stock block unlike the 392 which can only take 8lbs safely .... The coyote is thee superior engine ... If you like ohv go gm with the LS n LTs which also superior to the 392 ...
while i know it might be more of a challenge and a little slower depending on skill but for me it is so much more fun to have a manual. I have a 6-speed 99 Camaro SS H/C/I full bolt on making 440ish RWHP and just took it out last weekend for the 1st time since last year. Ran a older gen SRT8 it was stock. just the engagement of shifting yourself for me is the thrill. I get it the 8 and 10 speed are great for the track if you looking to get the fastest 1/4 mile time possible their fast shifting cars but where is the fun? i was looking at a 7speed C7 or the 5.0 but i know they have had issue with the manual un unless they went back to TREMC. I'm also waiting to see the Nissan Z and supra in a manual.
I agree I think manual cars are more fun if you’re not going for straight line acceleration and you really feel more like you are driving the car. What issues are there with the manual C7 and mustang?
I just can’t look at any other car the same, the mustang just catches my eye like crazy. Starting to warm up to challengers though, but I still can’t get the mustang off my mind!
Been on the car scene for some time now & to this day I’ve no clue why the winner of a race will put haz lights on… i assume out of disrespect, but can someone explain?
He's jumping out cause your lugging the car in such a low rpm on the start he's got his shit revved to the moon I'm trying to figure out why u didnt start in a lower gear? Would it not let u go down one more gear on the start?
@@KCars Well that definitely explains it to me. Lol no doubt the mustang runs good but I definitely thought you would have pulled out on him not walked him but for sure beat him. Love the 6.4 i have a 2019 Ram and have been looking for a pull out 6.4 from a srt to swap into it.
Not one to pry but this is why i don’t have an automatic, even using manual mode wouldn’t do it. I have a 6 speed manual Challenger 392, full bolt on (besides headers) and a tune. I’ve taken Camaro 10 Speed SS’s, Mustang 18 GT. Only manuals with bolt on’s can keep up. You can really stretch your gears out and put power down with boost on your side.
KCars by the way i got a Stage 6 Motorsports 2step, and its misfiring BAD. Like car shakes and what not and doesn’t even hold RPMs. Gotta get it fixed tomorrow or perhaps get i retuned.
I have a 2021 GT Premium with six speed stick! I’ve added Ford Performance X-pipe and a Borla stinger exhaust axle back system! It sounds great but haven’t taken it to the track yet!
KCars yea. I don’t discriminate. I like all of them. I just happened to end up with a mustang. I don’t really have any regrets other than I wish it was bigger like the dodge.
Mustang did not jump on start. Listened several times and he hit on start of third beep every time. That is still an advantage only if you wait for the third beep. You waiting is too much delay. Even on a 1/4 mile track one anticipates the green light by starting at some point of the last yellow having illuminated. The second beep is kinda like the last yellow before green or third beep in this case. In short by the very end of the second been you should be hitting the pedal. It takes time for you brains signal to get to your foot. It may not be much time as this will vary from person to person. In your examples it seems just enough time for the Mustang to be about five feet in front of you.
I find it funny whenever people say they went down to mexico to do these kinds of videos, as if you could take cars like that over there, you would get dragged out of them and never see it again
@@KCars yeah i am thinking to buy a challenger now , my mood changed from mustangs 😅 , but still i was in confusion , i think i should go for a test drive on both
I owned a 2018 Dodge Charger rt/scat pack with dynamics package for a few months before it got totaled. It was a badass car. I just traded in my evo x gsr for a 2019 mustang gt 10 speed. The stang feels faster than the scat pack 100%. It is lighter of course and only seats 2 grown adults. The charger seats 5 comfortably. I still have my 2012 5.0 auto and the new 10 speed is simply amazing compared to the previous 6r80 tranny. I keep that bitch in sport mode all day. The upshifts and downshifts in auto mode are great. I have the 10 speed tranny in my 2019 raptor supercrew so I’m not surprised.
Hmm are u sure his mustang is stock? Mustang 5.0 2019 460 hp. Scat is 485hp correct? I watched racerX race 2019 5.0 with scat pack and it was close. That mustang is awesome sound to it and look. It seemed pretty close then all of the sudden he quickly passes u several times like he had nitros or something
I own a 2016 5.0 and also plan on getting a challenger not sure which trim, driving each car you get a different experience. It’s like having a Pitbull and a Rottweiler you get two different personalities from them. I like both cars, if you don’t like how heavy it is do some weight reduction or more performance mods or something. Who buys a sports car to keep it stock anyways?!! Dope cars man!!
robertsrt I was starting in 3rd, probably should’ve been in second but I’d probably spin like crazy even if I tried to ease into it. My main problem is the tires
The only fast challengers are hellcats and up. Those are still very heavy cars and for that speed your gasoline will evaporate far greater than the mustang. But who cares - smiles per gallon all the way 🔥 🚘 🔥
It’s funny how their drag racing in Mexico but the roadsigns are in English and they’re United States highway road signs 😂 don’t worry I won’t tell anyone lol
Can someone help me out with this class B video which car did the sound test first was it the Mustang or the Challenger, I thought I could tell by the tail light but the guy in the Mustang had his tail lights flashing doing both sound check.
I had a 2015 Challenger Scat Pack manual transmission 6.4 and now I am driving a 2020 Mustang GT with Roush Supercharer Stage 2. I telling you than the Scat Pack has more low end torque than my Mystang supercharger. That 6.4 move that heavy car like nothing. Is really amazing engine. Is not replacement for displacement.
All day long, the vette is just lighter plus more aerodynamic damn close to 50/50 weight distribution lower center of gravity as well from front to back end not to mention what someone's already siad power to weight.
Nah scat packs beat 6 speed and I think it was 8 speed gts. 10 speeds are the ones that murder scats. Dude can't drive it. Almost always starts in a lower rpm around like 4000-4500 instead of 5000-5500.
@@KCars just sounds like you're doing something wrong. Let some air pressure out of your rear tires or something. It's not like you got 1500 horsies on tap.
Dodge: Full exhaust Ford: Stock Comparison? Haha, both sound amazing, I always go back n forth on which I would like to buy, I really don't know at this point.
The challenger actually still has the stock catback with a mid muffler delete. And I agree they both sound really good especially for a stock mustang. That thing with headers would be insane
@@KCars Understood about the weight. Nothing you can do about that. But his count (every time) was "uneven". He counted 1-23 -- not evenly pace 1-2-3 and of course he knew he was doing that so he was already into the throttle before you heard " 3". Next time you count!
