Agreed. We selected the 2018 Elite model, we love it’s design and body lines much better than 2019.

Nice Review Joe. Can you show us the tailgate height adjustment programming. I have read that it is not available on the 2019 pilot. Just want to see it in action, because I usually park in a garage with a low ceiling height. Thanks In Advance.

I'm curious since you did a comparison of the pilot and highlander back then is does the new pilot and highlander v6 uses timing chain or stil timing belt and what about the mpg on both?

The Pilot has a timing belt (currently under recall in some cases) and averages about 22 mpg, while the Highlander has a timing chain and averages about 23...there's an all-new Highlander coming out for 2020.

Great vid... I have a 2018 elite my problem is the mirrors keep tilting down when I turn car off or put it on reverse...any suggestions... is only driver side mirror that does it...

Aloha Melvin...I don't know how to deactivate those, my car has the same feature so you can see where you're parking when you back up...I think it's the only way they operate in the Honda.

Melvin, try this - switch your mirror adjustment switch to the middle and then shift to reverse. If you want the passenger side to tilt down while backing, switch it to that side before reversing. The feature can be turned off also. Check your owners manual.

It doesn't fold into the floor but the 3rd row and 2nd row as well fold flat to give you amazing and usable cargo space, plus there is underfloor storage behind the 3rd row. Thanks for taking a look Carl!

Thankfully, they have an AWD plaque on the back...and there's an AWD light on the cluster when you turn the key on...there are also mechanical differences underneath and different VIN codes.

Change your rims to EX /EXL 18 inch and it makes all the difference. 20" rims with short tire side do not absorb the road bumps as well.

The 2016-2018 Honda Pilot unfortunately look like a ballooned station wagon. Very disappointing compared to the earlier models. Honda makes great cars but the new designs look very weak. I have a 2009 which I love, I’ll wait until they design something with style. See Lexus, infinity or anyone else

The company has adopted what is to my eyes, a "wicked" look over the past couple of years...with so much love for a more traditional look for the Pilot, I'm curious what direction they will take the new body style.
