these trucks are a beast, my mom has a 2013 and its awesome. not to mention toyota lives up to their name with it. it has 100,000 miles on it and havent had a single issue with it

This truck earned its reputation. It’s made in Japanese Toyota plants which are known for superb quality control. This truck is designed to last for at least 25 years and comes fully loaded for its price rather than other brands demanding more and more for every luxury you want to add. Either way most buyers of these kind of caliber are the same type who buys a raptor and keep them garage Queen.

I have 2010 it has 190000 miles on it, it didn’t break once and I haven’t took it to the dealership service since I bought it. I bet Range Rover owners can’t say the same

I have become to love the Toyota off roading capable vehicles a lot more over the last decade. Hats off to Toyota. I've actually always been a fan of the bullet proof 4Runners and am actually looking to buy a 2005-2009. I really love the way they look and the ability they have off road.

Land Cruiser has a justified price tag.. They will last 25 years easily.. And the money you save not being in the shop like a Range Rover and other hyped up luxury suv's.. I have a 100 series.. 2006.. And it drives the same the day I picked it up.. Solid as a rock !!

It oozes class in those regions, especially with the premium exterior options. Makes the driver look smart too, as he/she chose the best 4x4 instead of going for something flashy like the Range Rover or G-Wagon.

Don't care about your Land Rover, don't care about any JEEP don't care about any other SUV. This is the best SUV money can buy if you can afford it. If you want more plush step up to the LX570. But for something that wear a Toyota badge this thing is more then luxurious.

We 've used Toyota's since 1990s and I know how it is. What I would like to know is how does the land cruiser compare to gmc Yukon, expedition etc. Are they better than the land cruiser?

Robert Howell rofl. The Land Rover is 10x the truck a toyota is. The lc has degraded itself down to nothing more than a hatchback tundra. A fair comparison would be the Chevy Tahoe or Ford Expedition, both are badge engineered like the yota. LRs and G Wagens are true purebred offroaders that font share frames with anything else. If you think an LR is unreliable you are stuck in the 90s and before. They havent used that garbage engine from buick in a long, long time. Or Lucas injection and electronics. They get electronics frim Bosch now. And use excellent engines co designed by Ford, and good enough that Ford is putting thm in their pickups starting this year. Even the Jag years were reliable if you did maintainence. I had a Lincoln LS with the same engine. Everyone said it wpuld be shit, but it needed only usual averagr maintainence for its age. I feel toyota guys are like chevy guys. Their definition of reliable is that it still runs, somewhat, even when horribly maintained.

Keegan, you can have a superbly kept land rover and have it run for 200k miles, but you can also buy a 70 series tank and run it for 1million miles with terrible maintenance. People are lazy and wont maintain and thus prefer the toyota.

Dr Ft yes and no... ive seen toyotas and other japanese cars rust very badly with ill maintaince, to the point of being dangerous out here where we salt the roads. The old 22r pickups yea, but an 80k suv full of electronics?

I bought a 2013 LC 6 months ago and it's amazing... you buy these things because the 5.7 is bulletproof, it drives smooth like butter, and outside of oil changes, you really dont have to do any additional maintenance on them. It's a proven 350K mile vehicle and that's a minimum estimate.

In Australia we get the Diesel versions, however one buyer had some bad luck as we get [or used to get] an inferior diesel fuel dirtier]and it got past the filters, messed up the injectors to the point that two pistons burnt out and the whole mess cost him a bundle to have it rebuilt [even though he is running his own motor mechanic business the expense was enormous] You probably get cleaner diesel in the US however i think OZ diesel is now improved but it may be sold at a premium price [not sure though].

Toyota Landcruiser has reputation of been the "King of the Road" outback Australia no other vehicles come near compares. With exceptional off road capabilities and it take you and the family anywhere wanted equipped with either 7 or 8 seaters and huge fuel tanks. It's rock solid built which can last over 35 plus years and a high demand for after sale. It will not let you down or break down middle of no where. It have the best approach angles while it may not be best looking and practicality. Toyota Landcruiser make up in bulletproof capabilities in all terrains and legendary reliability, but the trade off is gas guzzler in city.

I owned 2000 TLC that I bought new for $52k... replaced it in 2012 (with 125k on the odometer, I still got $20k for it from a 3rd party) with a 2011 full sized supercharged Range Rover CPO ( sticker of $120k btw) with 10k on the odometer, for $75k. 3 years later, I bailed on the RR due to lack of reliability, traded it in for a 2016 Escalade ESV - Platinum edition and haven’t looked back lol. Big, reliable, has all the bells and whistles that the RR had (which strangely enough, the LC/LX570 are still are lacking) along with a nicely appointed cabin interior- it is relatively fast, easily does 80 mph all day, while hauling +6 passengers, a few dogs and either a boat or horse trailer. Once Cadilac comes out with the high performance Escalade with the corvette motor, I will trade this in for that rig.

The most reliable + Luxury+ practical + real off roader + stylish+macho + low maintenance SUV ever built, so its still cheap with all those qualities, If I buy a Land Cruiser with 150,000 miles its still way reliable than many other brand new luxury SUVs . this car can take almost every where want and brings you back without breaking any part. its a unique car

We drive a 2011 Land Cruiser and just had to put new spark plugs in @ 130,000 miles other than that just oil change and new tires. Thinking about buying a new one. Asking $30000.00 for the 2011. Dark Gray Color.

Also think resale ....just hop on over to any used car web site and look up the used price for a 2016 land cruiser that used to cost $85k and a 2016 or even 2017 Range Rover HSE luxury that used to cost $100k+. Youd have to look at land cruisers with almost 100k miles to get it priced as low as 30-40k mile Range Rover.

90k but you still can't beat it. I mean that's probably the best 90k you're ever gonna spend. You know this thing ain't gonna leave you on the side of the road. It's gonna start every time. It's not gonna cost an arm and a leg when it comes time to service it.... if it ever needs service.

Land Cruiser is wonderful. But, take a look at the four runner Limited Edition. Half the price of the Land Cruiser and can pretty much do everything the LC can do.........and, has many of the creature comforts too!

It's one of the best SUV ever. Very good. Here in Dominican Republic it comes diesel engine and it cost 125,000 US dollars. It cost so much because the government tax. Diesel here is cheaper than gasoline. Diesel here is 4.10 US dollars Gasoline here is 4.91 US dollars.

It's really gotten too luxurious, in Australia they get a more basic model that is 63aud (48 usd) called the gx. I think the reason why they don't make the basic model here is because they don't want to step on the sequoia (which is a North American market only vehicle) but honestly I think we should just get rid of the sequoia and get the base Land cruiser.

Anyone considering a Toyota Land Cruiser might as well step up to a Lexus LX 570. After owning a loaded 2013 Toyota Highlander Hybrid and having to deal with Toyota service (getting a loaner with Toyota is poor at best), never again. For a CUV in the $50s, I regret not getting a Lexus Rx or Gx to have better after sales service instead of the HH. Oh well I can't complain about the excellent mpg's and reliability on the HH. And my kids just trash it anyway. Anyways, since the HH is paid off I am putting aside a 20% down payment for a 2020 Lexus LX570. Can't wait!

Master Try it’s more reliable due to lesser gadgets including the suspension which has more reliable basic coil overs. So on the used market they depreciate less than a Lexus version

A thing that annoys me is that when people say: "90k for a toyota? Haha hell no". Like if toyota isn't supposed to cost much at all. Well surprise it is. It holds its resale value insanely well and if you look at how it holds problem-free over the years, that in itself is priceless. I think toyota is worth much more its actual cost and when the toyota land cruiser cost this much it has every right to cost this much because you're getting every single cent out of the money you paid in terms of performance, reliability and luxury. Toyota can actually make super expensive cars and still have the best reputation unlike other brands but it chooses to make affordable reliable cars. It has created legends which names still live on today. So when a toyota cost 90k, you don't say no hell no", you respect that and know that every penny you are paying for is worth hours of engineering and years of heritage.

agree with you. however in our countery, this LC cost over 300k USD. but don't get me wrong, in our country the old LC from 1996 still hold its price as much mas 40K USD. that is ridiculously strong resale value.

Lot's of good info in this video. However, you're failing to demonstrate the technology you're discussing. Actually show me some of the items. Show me an above shot of the enhanced turning radius (with a drone). Demonstrate the roll control and show me where you're going over some rocks and trenches in the road. Show me some articulation. Demonstrate the crawl control. How about showing me how it can get out of sand. "Go anywhere and do anything." No, you are not correct. Not stock. In short, you've discussed a lot, but you're not showing me anything. Demonstrate. Demonstrate. Demonstrate.
