Just got a 2023 lt1 Camaro quoted for me at 40k. Didn’t have all the features I wanted so I walked out and decided to try my luck elsewhere. This is in San Diego btw

@@coyotecarguy2076 so he just got a tune ? he had no mods besides the cold air intake and exhuast ? im in cali if i was near yall id def go visit that shop i saw a guy at a shop over here get e85 and a tune it barely got out of stock 390hp - 420 hp and 436 tq the numbers you guys pulled are def something id want out of a stock engine great job! if he ever got the flexfuel and any other mods that car will be 500hp +

Its Shock Yellow Al .. the same color I considered in the SS 1LE trim for HPDE & TT. These cars are incredible on the track. Low RPM torque and better suspension make them hard to beat. The Mustang with a better suspension would still be my choice.

I love those spider stripes on the hood. I dont know why many camaros don't come with em. I would get a black 2ss camaro with the red spider stripes and red interior one day. Or maybe I should wait until hopefully chevy puts the engine and dct from the c8 into the camaro
Located this car for sale in Tx for $50k. It’s be supercharged and claims to have 900 horses… idk if that’s legit or not. Car seems fishy if it came from across the country
OK question if the stock rating is 455 net RWH, Like all cars are measured today it’s not in gross like the old days, why are the HP numbers lower than what Chev says?
RJtoon1 . .. The 455 hp Chevy advertises is engine hp at the crank .. What the dyno shows you is Hp at the wheels .. so there is drive train losses through the transmission and stuff so the numbers will be lower. .

That doesn't look like my factory spitter but my Shock LT1 is a 21. It's flat with winged tips. But OEM had a few designs, Z28, 1LT, ZL1, ZL1 Track. If my info is correct. Mine looks like the ZL1 Track. Check out next gen speed.

My sisters '19Ss 10spd just ripped her '17c7GS with no problem at all! It just couldn't hang and I really like the c7s platform but.. nah, they just can't compete bone stock!
These LT1’s are stealthy, light and all a guy really needs and with a handful of bolt-ons, have no trouble running with the 400 lb heavier ZL and 530 lb heavier GT500 from 40 to 160. I have met some guys that have swapped out the crappy all season tires and put on some fire hawks or Michelins and dropped their 0-60 on stock tires from 4.5 sec down to 3.7 sec!!! on a stock LT1 Camaro. A few minor bolt-ons drops it to 3.4 sec 0-60 which is in stock c8 z51 2LT range and most new GT500’s without warm tires do about 3.8 sec.
The LT1 is a sleeper like the old Mustang LX 5.0’s from the 80’s and 90’s. I am only 33 but I love those old classics. I have seen a few new LT1’s give a new hellcat red eye a hard time up to about 130, and even put pressure on ZL’s. A stock LT1 will dust a stock C7. This 10 spd is king in these. They even beat new 5.0’s but not by as much as the C7. Get the tech package, and NPP and you basically have a 1SS with 70-80 lbs less weight.
@@coyotecarguy2076 Hey Al I been waiting a week for those fittings from Joe to weld into my high side line. Are those the same fittings you had welded for your install or was there some kind of alternative you used. I gotta get this car running, missing alot of content and events.
Eh with these number I can believe it. GM underestimates their power as it is. With these numbers assuming a max amount of 15% loss you're at around 500 at the crank. Assuming gm is off by 15 to 25 (which dyno testing shoes they are) you're getting 20-30hp from intake exhaust and a good tune. Maybe a tiny stretch but it adds up. Especially if you're taking the full 15% drive train loss. If you do 10% the number is closer to 480.
