This was "actually" a pretty good review of the 992. With the exception of hearing that guy say the word "actually" 23 times. True. After I was about half way through, I started the video again, and "actually" counted him saying the word "actually" 23 times. Dear host of this video: do please try to modulate your use of this word, or of any one word, so many times in a short time span. It will make you seem more intelligent.

I think they've subtle improved the looks substantially, it looks more rounded, more like the classic 911 and the rear doesn't look as long a on the previous models. I really like it.

yep had a cayman and third day with the car I spilled a coffee all over the center dash!!!! cleaned it up but was a lesson learned very quickly

Thanks for sharing. No one has mentioned the lowered position of ventilation vents on the centre console which seem far from ideal. Are the vents on top of the dash adjustable and is there much air flow through them?

Active cooling vents, as far as I know were FIRST on a mass -produced Porsche with the 928S4 in the 1980s.

it sounds good for a twin turbo car. If only they'd put a decent 6-speed manual in the S or GTS cars (i.e. the one from the GT3) then it'd be perfect since mortals can't even get a sniff of a GT3 without decades of shoving money at Porsche for lesser cars

Did you film this on a boat? The background is bouncing around from 3:15 to 6:11. Backlight sun flare is not a good look for a video. What's that rattling sound?

If you are doing a comparison between the 992 and 991 appearance, it would have been useful to have both cars side by side. "I don’t know if you remember the old gear selector” - what do you think people are using every day!

This is a 2020 Porsche that is only available with a PDK transmission and won’t be at your dealers until late August or September. It is not the 2019 Porsche. That cup holder in the middle maybe a real pain when they come out with the manual trans and the new gear shifter looks like a miniature electric shaver. Ugh!

I want a 992 review where someone doesn't say "More evolution than revolution"; trotted out no less than twice here. The stock footage from that test day have been used everywhere too - Would be nicer to see some more original video but I guess time is limited so probably not easy to do.

991 no active vents?..... What about the 991.2 ? No mention on the "fake" exhaust pipe in the back, they are not even connected to the tips... No mention on the rear steering, it's not the wider body at work that make it feel nimble. Why the S first? Porsche just increased the price and the best way to camouflage the increase was to shuffle it into the S with PDK package.

this is the reason that I've avoided the 991+ series cars and why the 997.2 is probably the best 911 ever produced ETA: to be specific, the best 911 ever produced is the 997.2 GT3RS with manual transmission.

I have a near new '20 992 911S cab which is perhaps my 20th or 25th Porsche from Zagato bodied '60 356 S90 thru '65 911S(yes!) coupe thru early Turbos, Later Turbos, ' 97 Turbo S, CarreraGT(2), 918, GT3(3), & some rarefies '60RS61, '65 Bergspyder 906 004, '73 Carrera RS, etc etc many more! My 992 is simply too big and a bit unhelpfully heavy and very ordinary inside even tho pretty well put together as usual. Price? TOO MUCH!! And absurd at what is missing at $150K: no folding mirrors, no FM radio (HUH!?), awful controls confusing & hard & unintuitive to find many things like resetting odometer, etc etc. I'll be looking elsewhere next time just about up now?! NSX?

Even on camera I can tell the diff, let alone in person. Mein Wunsch: Bitte hubraumstarke Motoren !!! Baut bitte einen W12 Motor (Bauartprinzip wie Bugatti Chiron Motor), ABER dazu im Unterschied mit einem extrem großem Zylinderkopfwinkel in der Mitte, so daß dieser Motor sich gegenüberliegende Zylinder hat (wie bei einem Boxermotor, aber in der Anordnung so gegenüberliegend angeordnet: >< ) und zwar mit 6 Litern Hubraum, ausgestattet mit 4 Turboladern, 48 Ventilen, 880 PS Leistung und mit V I E L Drehmoment, der auch zusätzlich mit Zylinderabschaltung ausgestattet ist !! Und zwar in Massenproduktion, damit der Preis gut bezahlbar ist!! Wäre das nicht genau das Richtige ??? 👏

Terrible design 🙈the best design 911 is still the 3.2 Carrera 1988 G50 gearbox Porsche 911 design goes downhill 😮 the Porsche Cayman 987.1/2 are the best Designs Porsche have made in a decade 😉
