Like Honda, Suzuki is bike manufacturer. And what bikes ... Not surprised about the engine refinement, the know how form the bike motorsport brought a lot of experience and pedigree. Like you, I do find Suzuki a very impressive and reliable engine. Very underrated car maker. Perhaps should target a better design, specialty in the interior. Besides that Suzuki deserves to be among the best and most reliable brands, just like Honda.

Nice presentation! Suzuki has pulled their car sales out of North America, which is unfortunate. I like their cars, and I own a Suzuki King Quad ATV. Merry Christmas from Canada :)

The mother has one, exactly same except no hybrid. I drove it a few times. It's nice. Engine is lively, it's the 1.4 and getting about 47mpg. Interior does feel a bit cheap alright but it does all she wants and loves it

The more upmarket brands are a lot more expensive I am thinking of buying another Vitara and taking it round to the local auto trimmers he has seen my current Vitara and said there is a lot he could do with it and I would still save money by not buying a more luxury car. Also in the UK I could then avoid luxury car tax

Im pleased here in NZ we get the 6 speed auto with paddle shifters, is quicker than the manual, mine is the non hybrid model which is quite a bit cheaper than the mild hybrid and only looses 0.2 of a litre per 100km,

Stick with it the hybrid adds nothing and is more expensive

@@Beorn. I have the hybrid Ignis and I feel a noticeable difference to acceleration when the electric motor kicks in, than without it.

mild hybrid is helping to avoid a turbo lag on low revolutions, so better acceleration on start

What turbo lag? Vitara turbo his peak boost from 1500rpm. It idles at 800. I'm not saying the hybrid isn't good, it is, but let's not kid ourselves. The only reason Suzuki went to it is to reduce emissions.

Suzuki want the driver to keep their hands on the wheel hence the old school volume button on steering wheel. I dont expect this to be any more economical than my existing Vitara, I regularly get 50mpg as it is. Wouldnt exactly describe this as good off road Suzuki have been moving away from that sadly for years. I still own an old Grand Vitara sport that is way more capable if there's any doubt give Suzuki a ring and ask " whats the wading depth?" On this Vitara and you'll be met by silence. I just wish they'd spent more of the budget on the adaptive cruise so it doesn't suddenly let go below 20mph that's so annoying ..

Auto due in April in the UK, I'm surprised the auto didn't come out first given this is a hybrid
