The drag races you are doing are great to see, especially representing South Africa! A suggestion to improve the current format, would be to list the time data you measured from the vehicles during a race i.e. , 0-100km/h, 100-200km/h, 60ft, 1/8 Mile, 1/4 Mile (and if your stretch is long enough, 1/2 Mile), for all us nerds enjoying the stats, and also comparing the claimed times by manufacturers and real-word data (in SA specifically). First of all, the M5 "Competition" normally goes against the RS6 "Performance". This is the regular RS6. Second, the M5 Competition is indeed faster than the regular RS6 but not by that much of a margin. The M5 Competition in this video was obviously tuned. Watch other drag races online. And look at the exhausts on the M5 Competition in this video. That is NOT STOCK. This video is misleading folks. At least say it when a car was tuned. It wouldn't hurt. That's professionalism. Disliked!
@@nhlanhlamagagula7467 does BMW have a car to propose against the E tron GT RS? This is may be the reason why it takes a bit longer. Focus is elsewhere. And the R8 is still there to compete too.yes the M5C is faster under dry condition (in wet it is slower), but the look of the RS6 is more impressive and it s so easy to be tuned.
lol Germany just announced the RS6 performance, with the Cayenne Turbo GT engine... lets see how like for like models go...my bet is the Audi wins.. the engine in the RS6 can run 850-900bhp on stock turbos... way more head room than the old donk in the M5 - and Ive owned both cars, and tuned both.
That's not so suprising when M5 shows 660-675 hp on dyno when it has "625" hp. It's great for the m5 buyers cuz they get more power than they are buying but It's not fair. Im still wating for a dyno test on RS6, E63S and M5 competition before racing.
@@aneelkaa the M5 CS just killed a 797hp Dodge hellcat red eye...in BOTH drag races (launch + AWD and No launch + RWD), then it also beat it on a rolling race and casually walked away like it clearly had more power. Assuming dodge lied about the power, its still atpeast 720-750 in the real world.
Ive had both, the m5 much more snappy in gearbox and performance than a stock rs6 and the m5 will always beat it. I had an M5 Comp, now have an RS7 c8 but had to tune it stage two 780bhp 1100nm as felt too slow at stock 600bhp, now it goes like a rocket and sounds great. Both are great cars.
me too... I had an M5 comp... was fast, just poorly built and average looking... swapped it to the RS6... not as quick stock, but tune and exhaust completely changes it... and its pretty clear the RS6 performance will be out with like 650bhp soon and that should be plenty quick
@@205500830 well you can dream....you clearly dont know your cars well... but im afraid a cs m5 run 6.5 on a 100-200 time as road tested, my rs7 is now running 5.8 so would smoke you sorry, ive also already had an f90 m5 comp running 730bhp/1000nm as my last car and it ran 6 seconds 100-200 so would also smoke your CS. soz. i dont think you realise the times the CS run, they great as lighter and would beat stock cars but not when they running decent tune, try again.

Audi said wait few weeks now coz they need to change nearly everything on this garbage of a car. Audis at the moment are at the worst time for built quality 1000% and their engines are slowwwwwww as you can see on the video. At the moment Mercedes and BMW hands down
@@WimTheInstigator yes, but that's an appliance not a car...the last time I checked M5 Competition is the quickest CAR with 4 doors. What's scary is that the M5 ClubSport might even be quicker.

I might add C&D Lightning Lap times are all on the same track (VIR), obviously temp and humidity has some effect but the ponderous M5 is miles behind. The ZL1 ILE obliterates it

Porsche themselves will tell you their 911 is a faster, better car. Lots of other examples too, this is just one. Those track times are utter BS. Getting out there and driving both cars for yourself I would say is the best way to know which is the better car, straight line or track
Once the BMW gets the power down and grips, IT IS GONE!!!! Audi used to kick off the line much faster because of their Quattro systems, but, Beemers back

The reason is clear : Current RS models are both heavier and less powerful than their Mercedes and BMW rivals. I think it has to do with politics within the VW group.
Audi just needs an Eventuri air intake or stage 1 tune to get it into 10's. Great daily with tons of capacity and comfort as well. Recent upload of stage 1 RS6 basically neck and neck with m5 CS. Each one a race or two, and CS is a beast!
@@Franc39A6DD similar acceleration, still weighs 800 pounds more. Not bad for an Avant. The CS wouldn't be that great of a daily, very track oriented car. Might as well drive a GT2 or GT3 in my opinion if that is what you want.
I can't understand why everyone launches RS6 vs M5 Competition, this is not the same as thinking that it should be imposed on the normal M5 and only when Audi launches RS6 plus or RS6 Performance then take out M5 competition let us be subjective and not biased! 😉 😜
BMW is mental generally at the moment. This was expected, and i prefer BMW over everything else usually, but i have to say that RS6 looks out of this world, saw it a couple of times on the road and fell in love
@@av8743 it’s nowhere near as comfortable or refined as the Audi. I got a cracking deal on the M5 that was too hard to turn down but if the Audi’s price was remotely close I would have picked it. BTW the M5C isn’t bad it’s actually exceptionally good and 5800miles in its has been a joy.
@@Luminated67 oh I went for a base m5 rather than competition, super comfortable on this one. For comp m5 to ride comfortably this has apparently been fixed on the LCI models.
@@Luminated67 ya because the pre LCI comp is known to be very stiff. Try a base m5 of any kind, very comfortable or an LCI comp should be much better too from what I heard.
@@justindaniel5959 Nah man, that M5 is gorgeous and distinct, whereas that RS6 looks like a RS7, RS5 and RS4. It is not unique, just copy and paste with bigger proportions, so when people see it, they has still have to figure out which RS it is. Whereas when you see the new 5 series you know exactly what it is, hence it has a far better road presence.
The Doge RS6 or even the similar RS7 still has presence ,striking design and better looks too .the M5 kinda looks like a 5 Series M Sport, sooner or later the replacement M5 might have the same nose as the G80 cars, then it will have presence 🙈
@@justindaniel5959 Until most people can tell at a glance wether an Audi is an RS4,RS5, RS6 or RS7, then you can proclaim that Audi's have presence, till then then the unique look of the 5 series far outmatches the generic and recycled Audi look. And as a bonus it's a far better performance car.
The RS6 did a 1/4 mile in 12 seconds & 0-100km/h in 3.6 seconds. This was timed using the cars built in system, we didn't have times for the M5, but going forward we will measure.
Only people shocked are those that haven't seen the M5C vs it's rivals. LOL The M5 is lighter and despite it's claimed 25hp more than the Audi it's actually more like 60hp more.
