Thanks for watching! If you’re new, hit that subscribe button and stay tuned for tomorrow’s performance drive with this LT1 and the new Indy 500 Tires. We carve through some backroads and do several before and after 0-60 comparisons compared to the factory all season tires. Thanks again!
I have had my Riverside Blue LT1 for 8 months. I drove a 6-speed and got the A10. It is amazing how smooth and quick it shifts. This car is is the best mood enhancer out there!
I've been checking out your content and I want to retract and apologize for trash talking the auto trans on your beautiful LT1 in the comments last night...she is no grocery getter that's for sure! That thing is twenty times better than the junk I'm driving 😂. Great channel.
Excellent video....I picked my Lt1 up in June...I love it...added 275s on the rear, tower strut bar, duel mode exhaust, rear spoiler, black rims....its bad to the bone!!...
well I bought my LT1 almost a year ago and the only real complaint i had with it was with 31 miles on it I broke a valve spring on #7 and it was in the dealer for a week. The car is a blast to drive the 10 speed shifts perfectly every time and really shifts when you put it in sport mode hang on. Fun car
Thank you for sharing what you use to clean the interior. I started using the new Maguires Ceramic wash and wax and it makes my black LT1 shine better than when I first bought it at the Chevy lot! I strongly recommend that and the Maguires ceramic detailer spray which keeps it shining longer.
Hey man not sure if anyone else mention it but that uneven door gap could be coming from your car being put on a lift. Look into installing sliders on your pinch welds underneath your car to guard against it.
hey i got a question, can the seat adjust forward and up down? i’m 5’3 and i want to get one but idk if this car would be uncomfortable for me due to my hieght
What mode do you drive in? I got the test drive a brand new one in the touring mode but the acceleration didn't seem that impressive, does it really make that much of a difference being in the touring mode versus sport?
I always leave it in tour tbh. Sport makes everything a little more sensitive, biggest difference being in the shifts because in the settings, you can set the steering and exhaust permanently In sport, and I just do that while leaving the car in tour mode.
Cool , love to see another Camaro Brother out here talking about the car itself , my story , I bought my 2014 2SS used and the motor seized on me a year and a half after I bought it , took some time and raised 12K to restore the car, so happy that my "Boy " is back on the road , hope that you get the door situation taken care of and YES , the car gets small rock paint damage , I suffered from it too and I will probadly do the same thing in the spring of next year - Subbed as well
Glad that it’s back on the road man I’m sure it’s a ton of fun. The door should be taken care of by the end of next week but thanks man glad to have you along! I subbed to you as well
Everything’s you said i 100 percent agree ! I got my lt1 in shock green about 6 months as well and man it’s been such an amazing car ! Crazy that almost everyone here is from Florida as well!
I will always have a special place in my heart for the 1987 IROC Camaro I owned. It was a looker and was fun to drive. It’s a shame that GM plans to stop making the Camaro soon.
Hey man! Came across your channel and gave it a sub as I'm a Camaro owner as well. 2019 1LT RS Nice looking Camaro you got!! I just hit 12K on mine but have had no problems to date. Love mine and I think the V6 is vastly underrated. The car is so much fun to drive. I'd definitely let the dealer look at that door. It's almost like its misaligned or something. I've never seen that before on any other Camaro.
Thanks brother really appreciate your comment! I’ll get the door taken care of ASAP, and I’ve heard some great things about the 1lt rs. There aren’t a lot in my area, but I’ll try to get a review on one of the v6 or T4 camaros in the upcoming weeks.
@@WTFCRLT1 No prob man! I just watched your 1K/About me vid as well. Enjoyed the baseball talk as I'm a huge Reds and baseball in general fan. I have those same plastic interior knee pieces on the door and center console as you do. I recently ordered a set of white ones (my exterior color is white) for mine and it really made the interior pop. They easy to replace. Something you might want to do on yours down the road. Red ones would look great in your car.
Thanks for watching man glad you liked it! I’ll look into those red trim pieces too, I’ve been looking for something to make the interior pop a little more.
Hell yeah it’s just not a lot of dealers have new camaros right now especially in my area. I’ll try tho Hopefully I can get a review in the next week or 2. Appreciate your comment man!
Im thinking on getting a 1LT 2022 at the age of 20 this will be my first sports car. So any tips you have brother? I also live in chicago we get alot of snow so i have to be cautious on that too. Nice car man 💪🏾
I live in New York so how would it do in snow you think with all season tires and a big concern is visibility is it really as bad as everyone makes it out to be?
If it snows, It might be tough getting out of your spot if you’re parked on the street that was just plowed assuming you live in the city haha but it has a limited slip, so it shouldn’t be worse than any other RWD car. Visibility also isn’t bad.. Comparable to just about any 2 door sports car I’ve driven. Appreciate the comment!
I plan on going either next week or the following. I wanted to wait for my car to need an oil change to avoid going to the dealer more than I need to. I’ll make a video about everything they say and if it’s a fixable issue, or if the frame was permanently bent after being lifted in the wrong spots. Hopefully it’s just the door
Interesting review ,, your car looks great, colour is very nice, glad that you are enjoying your Camaro. I'm really enjoying mine ( 2021 1LT ) it's certainly not the hot machine like your car but for me when I purchased it I was trying to find everything in a sports car that would be practical for my driving habits. I paid $ 41,000 ( Can. ) for my Camaro, it has the RS package, V6, 10 speed auto. 20" wheels and is finished in Riverside Blue Metallic. I did compare this car against a 2021 Mustang, Camaro gave a much higher bang for the buck and I had no inclination of paying $ 44900.00 ( Can. ) for a four cylinder sports car. My Camaro has a number of practical options and also a couple that I don't really care for but all in all it's perfect for me, I love driving it. Now where I live ( central B.C. ) we have a good three months of snow conditions and as I'm sure you have read " Camaros are no good in the snow " ,,, how does it drive in the snow ?? ,, well first of all I have six fifty pound sand bags in the trunk over the back wheels. I have traction control on and also choose the snow / ice driving mode, I had a set of four Falken winter tires installed ( 245/40R/20 ) and seriously for a rear wheel drive vehicle it handles ( equipped as I have it ) better than I ever expected. Entering and exiting the car is a pain ( especially when you are a senior like me ), visibility is poor, and the back seat is perfect if you have dwarfs for passengers ,,,, I have a full set of golf clubs with a full size cart bag ,, no they just don't fit in the trunk. That's the negative ,, and those that really like to complain about those items I mentioned ?? why the hell are you complaining ?? surely you knew that before you bought the car !! ,,, good review, have a safe new year.
Glad to hear you’re enjoying your Camaro as well! I’d love to get my hands on the turbo 4 Camaro I can only imagine what the 250lbs weight savings up front would do for the handling. It’s great that it’s surviving the Canada winters as well.. Not to compare the winters but I had a Mustang up in New Jersey a few years back and with some winter tires it was honestly the best winter car I’ve owned so far lol appreciate the comment!
Hi, Following your channel since I have been dreaming to buy the LT1 next year. If you can cover the following vedio that would be great 1) Ride comfort for passenger sitting at the back. 2) handling in rainy weather Thank you
Haha it’s always raining down here so that shouldn’t be too tough! As far as the back seat, there is basically zero space for anyone over 5 foot.. I got into the backseat for the full review on this car, and for someone that’s 6 feet tall there’s literally zero space. Thanks for the comment I’ll definitely get a video in the rain!
About the door. My old Charger has the same problem. it's the hinge. You can ask dealership about it and get it fixed for free. they might repaint that panel for free too because this is factory fault
I myself would not want a manual, Too old school, Auto's are now a better option, allows the car to accelerate at max efficiency. But the manual allows a more personal connection to the vehicle. Like if you win a race much of it was because of the drivers input, can be very satisfying .
Beautiful car. I got my LT1 around 6 months ago as well. However, without driving like a mad man, I get consistently around 16 MPG. Idk, maybe you drive in touring mode? I can only think about 23 mpg in a long road trip.
Yup I spend 99% of the time in tour mode. I do a lot of highway driving, but I also spend a ton of time just idling as well so I’m not sure.. I’ve had road trips that I’ve averaged over 32mpg. I live in FL too so there aren’t really any hills haha
@@WTFCRLT1 I once even got 40 MPG going at 55 mph lol. I’m in south Florida too. The thing is that driving a mix of city and Highway I get no more than 250 miles per tank. Anyways as long as Gas does not keep going up we’ll be fine. Eventually I’ll switch to an ss 1le for the manual.
Nope everything’s included in the payments. I was kinda forced to pay an extra $890 for a 3 month extended warranty since I have a 39 month lease but they lowered the price of the car by 890 so it wouldn’t effect my payments. I don’t think they would’ve accepted the deal if I had told them no warranty but keep the car $890 cheaper haha
@@WTFCRLT1 Usually in a deal like this. They make negative gross(profit) on the front. So they try to make it on the back. So this money will go to the finance manager not the sales person.
Yes I have the app, it can start the car and keeps you updated on maintenance. Not a fan of the fact that it keeps track of my driving history such as hard acceleration, hard braking, and top speed during the trip.. that information can eventually end up in the wrong hands haha therefore this is probably the last time i connect my car to an app😂
I’d go with the Camaro haha to get comparable handling from the mustang you’d have to get a performance pack. Unless you plan on doing serious mods in that case the 5.0 is the better platform but stock vs stock I think the Camaro is a way better value.
Yes I had the tires put on a day before this problem started happening. They obviously had the car on a lift to do the job but it wasn’t making that noise the day of, it started the next afternoon so I really don’t know. I was worried that the lift caused it too but idk bc of that huge panel gap on top
Outside of the different front end, the 1ss has rear brembo brakes, wider rear rims and tires which are Goodyear Eagle F1 Supercars instead of the Goodyear eagle F1 All seasons in the LT1. One advantage of that is having 4 wheels all with the same tires which allow you to save some tire life with rotations. Other than that, everything is basically the same when comparing the base models. 1SS is available with way more options too such as digital display, HUD, leather seats, 1LE package Etc you 100% get more with the 1SS but If you’re just looking for a cheap way into a v8 and plan on changing tires anyway, I’d go with the LT1. Appreciate the comment!
Probably not with street tires but I’ve seen it done with a drag setup. Anything better than 4.5 is really impressive with the stock all seasons haha appreciate the comment!
Have you ever driven a Manual? I've never driven a Manual but I was thinking if I wanted to buy this car maybe I should consider learning to drive Manual? What are your thoughts on most people's opinion "if you want to get a sports car you should get a manual transmission" Love your vids bro im a new viewer
Yes I’ve driven a bunch of manuals and I was looking for one for this LT1 too, it’s just that there weren’t any in my area and I didn’t want to spend more than I needed to by special ordering. The 10-speed is also an incredible transmission, not quite as fun as a 6-speed, but it’s nice being able to just sit back and relax sometimes too. Manual is more fun for a sports car, but an auto is nicer in my opinion for a daily. This is my daily haha so I don’t regret my decision at all, but it doesn’t hurt to learn manual so if it’s something you’re interested in, I don’t see why not! Appreciate your comment and support!
I suggest you learn manual. You can just learn it after buying your car. The Tremec manual trans in the camaro is extremely good. Reliable and nice to shift with
I’m currently using the beltronics vector v940 or something like that. It’s pretty dated haha it was my first detector 6 years ago so it’ll be replaced with a uniden or escort shortly. I personally wouldn’t hardwire it since the car is leased, but it’ll definitely help get that annoying wire out of the way😂 thanks for the comment!
@@WTFCRLT1 Okay I was looking at the lease deals over on the lease hacker forum that’s what actually got me researching this car looks awesome love your videos! I’ve got an escort I love it. I don’t think the hard wiring would be too bad usually taps into power by the mirror. Would look into it for another 2 years seems worth it.
I own a 2019 camaro rs with 21,000 trouble free miles and the car is a blast to drive. The camaro doors are fairly long and heavy and a simple realignment at the dealership will solve this problem.
I almost ordered one in vivid orange metalic with the RS options over the weekend, but that payment. I'll keep driving my 2010 for a while longer, I'll get an lt1 eventually.
@@socksamazingchannel just ordered my 2022 RS 3lt convertible w/ a V6 and a base price of 45K. W/ tax license, and dealer addons, minus my down payment, I'll be financing about 48k. Payment was estimated to be $650 a month. And Terry, you only live once, just do it!
@@socksamazingchannel I know, debated the same thing.... But this is actually for my wife's 50th birthday and she doesn't need that much power. In fact, we initially ordered it with the 2.0 turbo but changed our mind to the V6 because I was starting to read up on potential issues w/ that turbo motor. Either way, this car with the red cherry tint coat, pearl white rally stripes, 20" wheels, and convertible top is one of the most beautiful cars we've ever seen.
I have a 2018 2SS in Garnet Red witb black twin rally stripes. Again, a great car for the price. I'd bought a LT1 IF it would've been available then. 👌👍 nice car!!!
Hopefully it stays that way! Any chance you have a premium color? Most people recommend going that route for that exact reason haha appreciate the comment!
Such a wonderful pony car. Chevy really did well with this generation. The balance of power, driving dynamics and composure is incredibly on point. You should get the manual though! 😅
@@WTFCRLT1 Yea I was planning on buying it and just keeping it for a couple months drive it a tiny bit and sell it for a profit but I had people saying it’s not worth it with how much money the car cost
I’ll try to get some weird stuff in haha but I don’t wanna spend the rest of my time with this car cleaning out dog hair😂 especially with the cloth seats but I’ll get something in soon!
After being in the Automotive Refinish Industry for over 38 years, I assure you that the OEM Finishes On new cars are NOT Cheap. Today’s New Car Finishes are the best that they have ever been! The Chips on your hood are most likely due to Highway driving and really not the Fault Of CHEVROLET or GM. Paint finishes are asked to go through a lot ( Temp Variances, Ultra Violet exposures, Car Washes, road debris etc..) I personally owned 3 Gen3 Camaros when they were new:1982,1984,1990.They were all Solid Red. None of them were even 1/2 the Quality As your LT 1‼️ You have a very Cool Ride.Take good care of it.
