Today I drive and review a 2021 Ford F-150 King Ranch! Ford Inventory: www.larryhmillerfordprovo.com/ Second Channel: / @thebenhardyshow Instagram: ben_hardypl Facebook: @benhardycar
Those who complain about the prices of these trucks should realize the amount of engineering that goes in making a truck drive almost like a luxury sedan is quite astonishing.
The King Ranch has always been the industry standard. Without the King Ranch there would be no GMC Denali, Ram Longhorn and so on. The King Ranch was the first luxury crew cab with a short bed configuration. All the other trucks copied this configuration and western style theme that is still the standard to this very day.
@@hellkitty1014 everyone has their own opinion and taste. I respect yours. But, what the King Ranch brand brings to the table is enough for me. Longhorn is really nice too
Ford king ranch awesome truck love it this truck so beautiful truck. Ben thanks for showing this truck now I can tell my friend about this truck he looking for one
Wow... And this is just their 3.5 V6! I wonder what the 0-60 MPH time is on this? I can imagine that their new Raptor is going to be mind-blowingly fast! 😵 Besides that though, I think they'll be keeping their leaf spring suspensions - but only in their work trucks, I would think.
good but I would like to see a *bighorn* vs *XLT* vs *custom* more affordable options to see which one is more affordable and which gives you the best equipment for your buck.
How smooth of a ride do people need. A 1999 Dodge 2500 with helper leaf springs in fine for me. Rode in a 2021 F150 also, if Ford keeps that suspension for the next 50 years, they can’t go wrong
It's called flying W's not squiggly on the logo & i5 needs 5.0 ,im still in the market to buy but I just got used to the 2018/2020 . So as of now because of price I'm leaning towards the 2020
Beautiful truck for sure :). Only thing missing is HUD… which oddly enough my 2019 Sierra AT4 has! Interior wise …. My truck is sooo much more primitive than this one :(
@@billysmith7835 what's unbelievable is the Ram not offering a power tilt and telescoping wheel. I also noticed that the leather in the Ford feels a lot better than the Ram and I can't believe the Ram doesn't offer a power tilt telescoping wheel. Also, the Ford's cabin seems to be a lot quieter than the Ram.
@@willardgentry6624 lol, you are right. However I think RAM is much more premium product on the inside. But hey that’s my opinion. Still amazed about the antenna 😂👍
I must say that is a nice truck. Love the interior and exterior. IMO Ram still out performs on there interior design but Ford really improved. Now let’s see what GM does.
Glad to see that Ford is upping its game. However if you want a cowboy truck, I think the Ram Longhorn nails it better. And I just really dislike the bi-level sill on the front doors. Not a fan of turbo engines. Had a Merkur XR4TI back in the day (German built Mercury back in the 80's). Always had to change the oil religiously every 3 thousand mile with special Turbo oil. Big concern about the oil coking up. Besides, a truck should have a V8. Does Ford still pipe V8 sound into the cab? That says it all!!!
@@brianbarclay4316 Not so. I have friends who have had theirs for many years with minimal or no problems. Ford, Chevy/GMC, Ram, Toyota and Nissan all build a quality product. Comes down to personal preference.
@@johnnicpon5783 the King Ranch is available with the 5.0 V8. Also, at this price point the Ram needs to offer a power tilt and telescoping wheel. I was a little surprised that the Longhorn doesn't offer this.
@@willardgentry6624 fully agree that Ram needs to offer a power tilt and telescoping wheel. Really have to wonder why they missed on this obvious need.
I would rather buy an older F150 with the 5.0 liter. Bet these cars/trucks with turbo's don't make it over 100/150k before the turbo goes belly up. Nice review Ben!
Thats simply not true. I have personally put on a 162k miles on a 3.5 ecoboost with zero major issues and until the day I sold it, it was towing heavy trailers. There are guys that have well over 200k on stock turbos. The key to making and Ecoboost engine last a lone time and be reliable is stay on top of the maintaince. These are basically high performance engines that require high end maintaince. If you do that they will last a long time. Nothing against the 5.0 but Ford has knows how to get fuel ecommony and power out of the these V6 tubros.
Nice video but yikes on illegal right hand turn at 14:00. You are lucky non of those oncoming cars that were turning left in front of you didnt hit you.
I wish there was a way to order the max recline seats without needing to order this trim (or the platinum or limited). The brown leather, the dumb logos and all the badges just scream super tacky.
I'm 75 years old and ever since I was a kid I've been a big ford fan but when I bought a new truck in 2018 I went with Dodge Ram there a better truck and I use mine for work not to ride around up and down the highway the more new ones they sell the more gets repossessed because people can't afford the notes and that put some more used ones on the lot at a better price
@@pwrtrade1265 Yes it’s very profitable, I made a good profit of $13000 with a capital of 4,500 USD on my last trade and I have made over $45k trading crypto
Doing a comprehensive review of the King Ranch I would have figured you would have asked an obvious question, what is the squiggly? The squiggly is actually a Sidewinder Rattlesnake, like you'd find on the ranch. Just in case you may want to know.
This Ford just doesn’t look very truck ish (best way i can describe it) tbh... it looks like a European truck or something. The 2018-2020 just look so much more muscular
So this thing has more HP, Torque and a bigger gas tank than the 250 or 350 7.3 Godzilla? Ford should at least increase the gas tank size on the 7.3 Godzilla if the are trying to sell it as a replacement tow machine!
@@brianbarclay4316 There aint a better truck on the planet then RAM! Fiat has infused billions of dollars and 100 years of auto making expertise to make it the finest truck in the world....
@@leedanielson7452 According to Motor trend and Kelsey blue book , Ford sells 2400 f150's every day for a yearly total of 900,000 + trucks ...lotta suckers eh! , your goofy remark matches your uneducated and pissy attitude ! , BTW , why are you even watching this video , ?? it's a Ford video not a Fiat film.
I'm 75 years old when I get too lazy to shut a tailgate by myself I don't need to be driving and the ridiculous price on the truck as ugly as that thing is and it cost as much as my house . Trucks nowadays are pretty much useless except for just riding up and down the road in .I got a new 2018 RAM for $27,000 and it's four-wheel drive with backup camera and everything that a working man needs why would you buy Ford and pay 42 or 45,000 for it
Seriously 74000 thousand what would you pay for it after financing I make 80 thousand a year and I can't afford it so who's going to buy it and even if I could I wouldn't have to finance15 years and the note would still be too high for a young man trying to raise a family
@@darkpill You are concerned the rear axle will rust? ?? Then get the version they make for export. It goes through a different rust prevention program at the plant.
@@off_road_rider How about Ford stop selling F150’s that aren’t rusting. Why in the fuck should consumers have to do anything when they are spending $50k + ?
