Dad just bought my 2016 5.0 XLT 302A off me, wasn't planning it, but pricing is nutts right now, my XLT is paid off so I gave him a deal on it. Crew cab 4x4 302A, heated seats spray in liner, 6.5 ft box. All that, for 30K, could of sold it for 38K. Only has 65000 km on it. So I opted for the lariat 501A FX4 5.0 crew cab 6.5 ft box, The dealer even threw in some 33s and a roush exhaust for me. Almost got a 502A but don't see a need for a moonroof and heated back seats. Your videos really helped distinguish the difference, thank you. It's still mind boggling how a 70K truck doesn't come standard with navigation. I noticed you have to opt for it. Not a deal breaker for me, but spending that kind of money. Ford should include that, and also an option for a collum shifter, the console one takes up too much room for a little gimmick like that. Collum shift is fine, if it ain't broke don't fix it.

The “cool design” on the doors on the XLT is actually a road map of the entire city of Detroit. And when both front doors are open, there’s a chrome U.S. flag on the side of each vent.

I just got the 2022 XLT 302A with the BAP. It is basically a 302.5A. It has almost everything the 501A has minus the full digital guages and the B&O. It has black leather interior and black brush metal look in the interior. Honestly it's a great package.

I think I'd go for the 501A so that I could have the universal garage door opener and the cooled seats. Being in Texas, having those cooled seats would almost be a must, as I'm sure you being in Vegas can attest as well! I currently have a '19 302A that I'm going to hang onto for another year, then I'll upgrade to the 501A.

I was just there Wednesday getting my F150 The Works... skating in the street! Lol the STX has the best looking rims though! The screens in them joints are huge, way too much for me. I'm a lariat type of person ,but not into the two tone doors or the three different colors going on in the inside for me. All Black Leather is more of my touch! Cant wait to see what they will do with the later models on the inside! Dope video and I enjoyed it

Power fold mirrors. Cooled seats. 4-auto. If I was choosing between these two id have to go Lariat ... have a 17 Raptor though and it’ll be one more year before I trade - but do love the 12” screen and all the upscale options now on the XLT.

My 2016 Sport 4x4 302A came with the factory spray in bedliner, sliding back glass, 36 gal fuel tank, 3.5 EB, and 355 rear end to name a few. Main reason I am keeping it.

It's odd that you get brown leather. The sport models were black with red. I also like the headlight with the black surrond in previous years. Im glad they have LED on the front and rear but the lariat should have the higher end headlight with the other high trims.

Just ordered my 23 xlt replacing my 17 lariat. The interior isn’t going to look as nice but it’s about $5k cheaper. So many things I don’t use on my current lariat.

Got the fully loaded 2021 xlt with aftermarket leather seats from ford themselves and the Bang & Olufsen (B&O) speakers in them. Feels much like the lariat with those two things and drives very smooth and fast definitely worth it.

Mine has the B&O system, the rear power sliding glass, the tailgate insert, the tailgate step assembly. The 3.5 EB…it’s loaded. It’s a Lariat minus the leather interior and the full digital dash.

Is anyone selling painted mirror covers for the XLT yet?

I have this F150 XLT V8 FX4 Sport, but truthfully I like mine better than the Lariat. Just about the same all around except mine has a full front to back moon roof and the work station. It's nice, I love it.

The 501a has front parking sensors because of the optional added copilot360 assist 2.0 for $750.

Prices have definitely gone up since the video. The exact xlt is now 61 and lariats are 65-66 in my area

Just got a 302a with pretty much everything you can throw on one, the only thing I wish it had that lariat comes standard with is that digital screen. The seats you put high end katskin on them and are better than factory on lariat. Plus a lariat where I live with the build I wanted was 12000 more than my fully loaded xlt

If you had to choose between a 2021 2.7 twin turbo or a 2021 3.5 both 4WD which one would you choose ? Is the brown leather on all Lariats or can you choose for an all black inside

I’ve never seen at 302A without the power sliding window. I’m so confused

To me my truck must have; 1. Push start ignition - I'm always carrying items in my multi pocket pants and hate searching for keys, plus I hate keys. 2. LED headlights - is the best and most important safety as halogens look like dim candles. If I can see, I can avoid lots of the accidents. I don't care for the rest of safety gadgets like keep assists, blind spot. 3. Bucket seats with console - I hate bench seats. It looses too much valuable forma space and is the main reason why I prefer the full size vs midsized. Midsize trucks armrest are too narrow and I got long arms. I would like: Digital screens Dual exhaust Don't care for: Leather, moonroof, sound system, towing

I prefer the XLT high trim trucks over the lariat. I have kids and use my truck for work and the perforated leather is a nightmare to clean if something gets smashed in the holes.

Xlt 302a all the way. Although the xlt is my 3rd favorite trim. Platinum is first but won’t be affording one of those and second is lariat and I won’t be affording that one either lol

I am currently in the process of creating a build. I’m deciding between this exact decision 302a vs 501a. Both sport. Same spec price delta for my situation is 3600. Really 50/50 on it.

I understand that the Lariat has an automatic 4 wheel drive setting for the transmission, whereas the XLT does not have this. Is this true? The 4 auto setting would be very valuable to me in New England, so I would pay the extra for the Lariat. Otherwise, the XLT is just fine.

I wish I could get the xlt sport package without the center console shift on it.

Is it possible to take the LED taillights from a Lariat and put them on an XLT? also you can add B&O speakers on XKT 302A. I would love a 502A Lariat. I just can't justify or want a huge truck payment. The XLT302A has a lot more going for it than years past. LED lighting, dampened tailgate that opens from inside the cab or keyfob. Dual climate control, zone lighting. It just needs heated steering wheel, 4A, and that's really about it. Enjoy your reviews.

Lariat 501A also has the Automatic 4WD which you can't get on any XLT

502A is where it is at in the 2021 line. Has all of the realistic luxuries without paying for the stuff you don’t always want. Plus the black interior is fire.

Get the 502a package if you are getting a lariat.

A 302a plus Katskin Leather replacement seat covers is a better deal.

i own the xlt on the left. i have a pano moonroof in mine and bedliner And mine is a sport not the fx4. i can’t imagine spending to get the lariat. the truck is nice but rides more rough than my old 2016 truck that was also a 302a. they aren’t cheap. i’ll say that

Save your money XL V6 400 HP awesome work truck and can tow almost ever toy I have , you pay more for the trim packages, if your buying a truck for the looks go with the sport and load it up with options (cha-ching) , lariat and king ranch just means more money 💲💲💲💲

To me the biggest difference is the Auto 4WD - and you barely touched on that. That is huge and worth the price difference alone.

The XLT has enough options on it EXCEPT the Auto 4WD. The lowest trim Silverado has it, why can't Ford put it in the XLT!

For $62.000.00 dollars and you don't get illuminated vanity mirrors, come on Ford this is 2021...isn't this suppose to be the future ?? But you do get leather seating, navigation, home link and heated rear glass.

stop calling this an upgrade. More fancy crap in a truck is not an upgrade to all. Its a downgrade to many. a bunch think that lane assist, auto tailgate, is a bunch of useless tech to fail. I could have ordered a Limited if I wanted. I wound up ordering a XL 4x4 RCSB. FX4. 5.0 with 3.73 locker. No carpet, no lane assist, no adaptive cruise. no BS. a truck for truck stuff.

Lariat 501 is a package that shouldn’t have ever been made , 502 is the only upgrade
