Here is a updated overview of my DIY high end audio system in my 2021 GMC Sierra AT4. This build has been about two years in the making and seen many, many different iterations. I can finally say that the build is actually complete and wanted to make a video walkthrough of the system to prove some further detail of what went into the build. This is also to serve as a reference for SVR 2023.
The walkthrough is little over 40 minutes long and there about 13 minutes of some key build log photos.
I’d say there are over 600-700 hours into this build between all of the iterations but I’m extremely proud it.
Please leave any comments below and thank you for watching!

you have absolutely set the bar for an audio build in a truck. did not expect that at all. this is one of my top 3 favorite installs that i found on youtube. i love the equipment you have used and the way you executed the build. not to flashy not to subtle. 10 out of 10 for sure.

Fantastic set-up! I also have an AT4, I respect what you have created and I know it sounds incredible! My OCD will not allow me to mix and match my speaker brands, I've very envious in that regard. I'm currently in transition from my late Focal K2's 3-way active, coaxial rear to a complete Focal Utopia in which I will run active 3 ways all the way around! The transition was inspired by the well-renowned Focal Utopia 10WM subwoofers. I ran 2-10WM in an MTI enclosure powered by FDP-1.2000 for some time, since I sold my Utopia's I have purchased countless subwoofers that wouldn't even come close to holding a candle to the 10WM accuracy and depth. I would highly recommend looking into them! Love the system, the rear wall is super sick and I look forward to your future content!

Beautiful build. I have a 2024 Sierra 1500. My old SQ system won awards and was 3 way up front Hybrid Audio L8se , L4se , L1v2 . 8 are vented to outside of the vehicle in custom kicks, 3 JL modified HD amps going into Mosconi 6to8pro and 13w7 in box tuned to 34hz so sub plays 20 to 40hz , 8s played 40hz to 200hz and 4inch played 200hz to 10k and tweeters played 10k up. I had custom A pillars ect but now with this new 13.4 screen and Bose system It sounds great and Idk if I want to just add a sub or go all out like us SQ MECA and Iascca guys go lol haha. You did an amazing job and the quality looks top notch. Scott Welch is your man for tuning if your in California. I love the Mosconi amps but they are just huge but worth it. I tell people all the time its less about equipments and more about speakers location and tuning but love your system and would love to hear it. Thanks for posting

Thanks for the replay man! Sounds like you have been around the block for sure. I'm about to swap to IB or sealed kicks this winter and maybe an IB sub this summer. Location and installation are 100% king, agreed. Scott's a great guy and I got to meet him this past summer at SVR and he gave some very high remarks on my truck when he judged it. I'm in Maine but have access to Nick Apicella who is a very, very reputable tuner and good friend. Let me know what you end up doing in your build

Yes, amazing build but if you’ve gone this far maybe think about replacing the Topping DAC with a CHORD DAC ? I think they run at 5 volts ?

Ever since I got my Fiio DAP, I think I use my Topping maybe once every 3 months. But I do know the Chord DAC is nice from my headphone days, just don’t need it here in this application with my Fiio and Brax

very nice build, extremely jealous. I would love to know how you bypassed the Bose Amp to connect to the DSP?
@lukeouellet

Thanks man! No bose amp in the one, it was a bone stock AT4. But LLJ customs makes a harness to bypass both the Bose and non- Bose models.

Amazing job man. The is one beautiful system. But I have a question for you. I have a 20 Sierra with Bose system. How did you get the signal from the factory radio. Did you go straight to the dsp from the radio or stock amp. Or did you used module like nav-tv. Thank you for your time. And ones again great job man.

I have an LLJ Customs high level loopback that gets signal from the head unit but I use a digital source 99% of the time now.

Did you need to mod the rear seat back at all to fit or did the extensions allow you to keep the seat factory?

Beside removing some foam on the seat back, the rear cushion and frame itself is stock.

@lukeouellet
@lukeouellet 3 месяца назад
Hey there - you should replace the battery in your key fob, just did that last month with mine, took 2 min and never have that issue again. Wireless CarPlay started in the GMC trucks in 2021 :/

A thing of beauty!!!! Is this all on the stock battery/alternator? Forgive me if the question is ignorant, but I don't know car audio that well, but I want to add a system to my 2023 silverado 1500 5.3. Everyone keeps telling me to upgrade the alternator if I want more than a 1000 watt amp.
@lukeouellet
@lukeouellet 2 месяца назад
All those people telling your need an alternator for 1000 watts on a stock 86ah AGM and 170 amp alt are.....not educated. 3300 watts here, nearly half of that on AB power, no issues, no dimming, nothing. All stock electrical.
