The radio display is like the old vacuum tubes that were replaced by the transistor. The tubes were better sounding. I love ❤️ this hot hatch and I am so glad I waited for the DCT.

The vacuum tube radio display is a nod to all the great electric guitar/bass/keyboard amps that shaped the sound of music in the 60s 70s 80s and beyond. Long live tube amps!

I think the "containers" on the radio setup appear to represent old electronic tubes, which were replaced by semiconductors years later.

You didn’t mention the 20 seconds of overboost in the DCT

is the snap crackle and pop just as good on the DCT as N the manual?

I drive a 2015 veloster turbo and my one complaint is it's not fast enough. Really considering this but I do have a baby on the way so idk if this is right. What do you think Pony?

The radio circular things are tubes. Amps for guitars are sometimes still made with them.

The paddle sifters are probably more responsive in the n mode.

I think when you were shifting using paddle shifters you weren’t in N mode. I saw someone else’s review of the DCT, the paddles shifted much, much faster than the one in your video.

Those bulbs on the radio display are called “nixie bulbs”!

It not only competes with CTR, but also competes with AMG 45 models. It’s just as fast as amg a45 around the track. You can watch the video on the best lab korea on RU-vid

you should put in N mode and change the gear manually via paddle shifter, it will be faster than changing gear manual via paddle shifter on Normal mode

One of my peeves is the fact that the names of the modes don't line up between the mode name and the individual component modes. Normal = Normal, Sport = Sport, N = Sport +. Ditch the Sport + moniker and replace with N. We get it.

The dual clutch transmission short is DCT not DSG that is only VW's name for their transmission. Keep an eye out for that next time.

I'm seriously considering trading my '16 mustang EB with 93k already...for this veloster N...sounds so good ! What concerns me a little bit is the transmission itself....DCT wet clutch? is that reliable? I tend to put quite a few miles in my car so def a good trans is important. Also, that overboost feature that pumps the torque up to 278 for 20 secs...I can see myself using it often...but...I do wonder if that would bring some reliability issues long run? Is anybody familiar with hyundai reliability? I know they have 100k powertrain, which is appealing... but most specifically with this new DCT wet clutch and overboost feature?

My girlfriend saw this and told me that this is going to be my next car since it has the dct now. Type R is only manual so yeah.

good luck if you want one! most dealerships have an MSRP over 3500 so your manual starts at 37,000 and the dct/dsg is 42000

The paddle shifter will reeact faster if you have it in N mode.

Veloster N dct is just awesome. Traded my 2018 BMW m4 dct right after one test drive.

My mazda 3 mps gen 1 is still my nr1.the torqsteer is so much fun.clunky gears.lsd wine.all that makes a mps a true performance car.turbo pumps now at 22psi.its alive!!!!😀😀

The car will shift faster the more throttle you give it. If you are full throttle the shifting is almost instantaneous

I know there are new 5 pound lighter seats on the 2021, but I'm trying to see why the MSRP price increased by 4-6k? I got my new 2020 VN-PP for 27k.

Dear Hyundai Veloster N Division, I hope you are reading this. Here are some Cons I would like to address. 1.) There’s an excessive glare on front windshield. 2.) Cabin noise from road. 3.) Please add heated seats and heated steering wheel. 4.) If heated seats can be added, why not add ventilated seats, global warming is increasing the temperature and it’s very hot/humid during summer. 5.) Plastic interior feels and look cheap for a $34K car. I hope the 2022 model addresses these Cons, if not I will go for Mazda 3 Turbo hatchback instead.

The new Veloster needs more then what it has,the old version sold well indeed resale is a joke in Australia just ask the second hand dealers. I have asked so many they have said they buy them off the customer dirt cheap.Years ago I had the pleasure of owning the Tiburon called the Shark it was great style 3 Door Coupe was Excellent and was happy then years later they went to the Veloster for me NO.So then I bought the Honda Type R 3 Door Manual 6 speed 2007 from the first day to the last day its Excellent never let me down or needed major repairs at all just kept the service up from day one.In the end many many years later sold it private and did very well indeed now im just wating on the Type R which the updated model arrives in Sydney Feburary which I will purchase.The Veloster how much plastic in the car the door panels are so cheap the backend looks like a Mazda 3 ugly indeed.the center arm rest hard and cheap,I could go on but if you are trying to promote this car as better as the Type R wow no way.These cars well the old models are in plenty caryards for sale second hand.I had the pleasure to chat with some Hyundai Mechanics who service these cars even they have said there a joke.Hyundai have come a long way over the years and are setting the pace but for me NO way.
