2021 iMac Review - 1 Week Later | Silver

I just got the 2021 iMac! I have the cheapest model, but for someone in university and has a light use, its perfect! I still use my MacBook Air 2017 model on the go, but the iMac beats the Air! I am honestly so happy with this purchase.

I watched not because of the iMac but because of the video's aesthetic.😂

I really don't mean this in a rude way. You are the closest thing to MKBHD on RU-vid but you put you own aesthetic on things. Its so good.

The Silver blends in so great with the white it gives it a clean look with the bright colors it sticks out like a soar thumb

I think I might do the base model and upgrade the RAM. Cloud and external hard drives are enough storage options for me.

IT's not just the thin factor is also the thermals, by having a chin the heat producing screen is not baking the electronics. In that sense the original G4 was better, and so is the surface pro from MS. (design wise). I hope Apple do not sacrifice the thermals for such a complain.

Thank you, for an excellent real world review after about a week of usage. Fully agree with you about maxing out the RAM because, right at the introduction of the new colorful 24-inch iMac's, I said the top of the line model was the only one to order. However, from watching reviews of the 24-inch iMac each day, I am becoming more and more a big fan of Apple's discontinued space gray 27-inch Intel iMac Pro. The iMac Pro has (at a much lower cost now) power, looks, design, and tons of ports.

Insane setup 🔥🔥... wall color ...now I don't even care about white bezels.. I sure most of the people came here see design/video aesthetic of @oliur✌️

This design has grown on me. Those black Bezel craze is overrated. I will have to applaud Apple for giving such a refreshing and fun design.

Things to know about this new iMac Gen. : 1) is the surface of the screen so badly when coming to clean up (Macbooks in the other hand do clean more easily) 2) Any improvement on the mouse, Apple's mouse are terrible for designers, most of the people in this profession end up purchasing another brand, not mention things are worse if you are using 3D software.

Just a questions, I have the iMac 24” and I currently have the default Monterey wallpaper as my background, and it shows on the Lock Screen however, if I restart or shutdown my Mac and power it back up it shows the default iMac colour matched wallpaper… is that the same for you? Thanks

If it loses the chin, it no longer looks like an iMac. Marketing 101

I still think it looks weird. Ugly is a strong word but it definitely looks worse than before. Now the bezels pop out, the screen, the bezels. the chin are three separate visual elements, and the edge of the screen is not aligned with the chin, that is why it looks worse than Jony Ive's old design.
