Hey mate no difference in engine only the mapping in that department. The gearing is different and 18inch rear wheel. You should definitely try one man

It depends on your riding style mate I like being asked to just hold the throttle open and not stress about sending it to the moon on a 450 hahah I love the 250x and man has it shined in some places I really didn't expect it too.

Hey mate na it doesn't come with kick start alot of the manufacturers don't have starter issues as much as you would think. It's more of ya battery goes dead but I can say I haven't had any of mine fail me YET!! Haha I'm sure it will happen one day but I'm yet to see that. Yamaha do the same as well as KTM

Hey mate thats a tough choice!! To very reliable bikes!! I know Honda back in the day were one of the best handling bikes in terms of frame set up. I can't comment now as I honestly have ridden one for a long time. I find the kx250xc no different to any other bike in terms of maintenance. There is a secret map that kawasaki have made up which gives you the black and white mapping into one plug (no its not the same as the green map) I cannot fault my kawasakis and I have had a few in my time. There is a current recall on some of the kx250 2021 as the wrong water pump shift was installed but thats no major kawasaki have done a great job in finding out early and letting everyone know. I do my regular oil changes and maintenance thats all. Where abouts are you from?

@@aaronpaul9650 try go for a 125 next if yiu can, you will learn better skills and clutch control that way. Going straight to a 250 4stroke makes you lazy mate.

Hey mate well worth the loss you get more them just a 18inch wheel. You get electric start and hydraulic clutch. Where abouts are you from?

@@LosSquid right clutch and start isn’t much of a worry to me as a rekluse will fix the bike from stalling on trails. I’m more concerned how the bike handles and throttle response on the trails as this kx250f is reall snappy changed front sprocket which helped gotta test it out this week. I’m in Florida

@@LosSquid 14/50....went up on the front stock rear sprocket. Mapping I’m just running the black whichever is the slowest haha

Hey dude. Where is it lagging power? Of the top or bottom. Yes I had to make a few changes in the suspension department.

@@LosSquid stock mapping, and Last bike I was riding was 06 yz 250 2 stroke. And played around on a few 450s.

@@tylerwright1286 that could be why coming of them man I did the same but I was 100% faster due to it being smoother that's more my style of riding. Try the white mapping. How do you like it in th woods?

18inch rear wheel, front forks and mapping mate

Unfortunately it's just the same transmission as the MX version so working around the gearing with sprockets needs to be done. I have jumped down 1 tooth on the rear for more open stuff. I find the standard gear perfect for in the trees though and run the black Mapp for smoother bottom end

Recharges from the stator mate so no need to charge battery unless sitting for along time

I recently went for a short ride with my new gopro, and I have an fmf fatty titanium with an fmf slip on a kx450, can't even hear the bike over the wind lol

What gopro? I have the hero 7 black and have no mic attached atm. I'll check my settings it I think changed it to wind noise reduction.

Hey mate had about 4 different bikes since this vid. She had no issues running harder hotter trails. I stuck a 1.8 radiator cap on and engine ice that helps massively to cool down. No problems on these man after 80’hours piston was still perfect!! They are a solid machine
