I was on the verge of purchasing a Husky compressor, but when I saw this, changed my mind completely due to the added HP, compactness, and versatility in doing more jobs as a DIYer! Thanks.
You are correct, I looked at every type, size and cost, researched it for a week and almost bought a husky 20 gallon upright, the Makita was next to the Husky when I see the HP and air volume on the Mac5200 I was sold. That was yesterday.
Just bought one yesterday, impressed - fast recovery time, noisy in my basement but I bought for performance not noise suppression, no leakage @100 psi for 15 hours, very happy with design
Ive left mine for weeks and came back to at least 70-80 psi still in the tank. I dont ever mean to leave air in the tank but it has happened. In fact I just got up and checked mine and it has 60psi in the tank and hasnt been used in over a month. I gotta remember to drain the thing or im gonna end up with a rusty tank. That being said it has done a bit of heavy work like running a strong impact, soda blasting, and spraying a truck; Though I do hook up an aux tank to do the painting and soda blasting. Its that 6+cfm at 90psi that sold me
Thanks for the video review. I got one today at HD and actually was able to pick 88lb up to my truck. I used it for framing gun all day long and compressor didn't disappoint :) It very noisy, but I can survive, provided it gets the job done in just no time!
Yes and NO...Ill explain: The pump can keep up with most spray guns @ 6.5cfm however the pump would be running constantly. When I need to use a sprayer or air die/grinder I hook it up to an auxiliary 30 gal tank and spray from the tank valve with a water separator between the compressor and aux tank.
