Very nice review. I have been thinking about a gravel bike but have been hesitant. This bike is now at the top of my short list. I have a a marin sanquentin 3. Love that bike
I have two gravel bikes and I just don’t get it. I gave it a long try but i think I’m done. I think hard tail 29ers are better for most people in most situations.
Great video! I recently picked up the same bike myself and had great fun with it so far. Haven’t taken the tubeless plunge yet, but that’s next to try out 👍
@@markpotts4428 I think its great mate. For the price its got some quality components, and its fairly light to get around on. I've added a dropper too it now and its good to go, I think its a shame that the dropper is on there for free. But for that price I can't really complain. Heres a few videos of me riding it: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-cFwdDtcvzVo.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-ESJ1C4bAA14.html Hopefully add some more videos as it starts to get less cold!
Hey bud, was looking at the Marin Team 1 as a more XC-oriented replacement for my hardtail. Didn't expect this video to be filmed exactly where I'd plan to ride it!
I have a Cube Acid XC hardtail with a 2x11 SLX/XT crank set, if i'm riding rough trails or down hilling it's my go to bike, but anything less aggressive it gets second place to my Gravel bike, I can ride my Gravel bike 30 miles in comfort yet no matter what I do I find the MTB less comfortable over distance and the slow pace on road sections is tedious, it's horses for courses!
Great Video and Review !!! Quick question : considering this is a XC Bike how do you feel with the factory short stem ?? I se in the video that is a very short stem , is not even 60 mm I really appreciate your feedback
thanks! it makes the steering very twitchy, although fast. Im getting used to it more now but you could go longer if you want to slow ot down a little 👌🏻😊
@@AddictedBikes I´ve ordered the Team Marin 2 in Large , probably I have longer arms than you , so I think I will go with a 60 or 70 mm Stem. Congratulations once again for your RU-vid Channel !
Great review, thinking of purchasing myself. I see u went for the medium what height are u? Dealer was pushing a large for me and I'm 5-11 which had me surprised.
Did you end up getting one? I am between and medium and large and also 5’11”. The reach on the large seems about what I would want but curious what you went with.
I cant decide, I want a new bike but not sure if a gravel bike like your topstone or possible the BMc]C Twostroke whch i believe is simillar to this. I just want a do it all bike for cycling gravel. What do you prefer the gravel or hardtail. Thanks
I love the Marin but honestly hardly ride it. I need to do more videos to update you all but im spending a lot of time on a road bike with gravel tyres/gearing which does pretty much everything. It isnt fast off road but gets me where I want to go.
How does “MEDIUM” mean it’s the right size? Bikes are not the same anymore you need to read the goe chart you can call a 485 reach a medium small or what ever you like. Also 60-65mm stems are usually the trick for mtb. Nice rig thanks for sharing. Encourage reading the numbers not if it’s small medium large xl or xxl.
