As soon as I saw the thumbnail to this video, I had a feeling you were going to mention wanting this version over your current car. If i were in the market for a brand new daily driver type of vehicle, this exact vehicle would fit the bill perfectly.

Just purchased a 2021 Mazda 3 turbo AWD with the premium plus package and soul red crystal color. Not a hatchback, got the sedan. I love this car

I see alot of CX-5s and plenty of last gen mazdas, but I rarely see any 2019+ mazda3s or miatas.

Specially CX-5 ! I recently got the same as this video but in white. The power feels great! And the interior quality 100% better than my 2019 Camry xse that I recently had

In the states if you want a manual transmission you need both the FWD hatchback and the premium trim (not the base)

I bought this car in the 22 model. I wish it came with a manual. I agree…it’s a great daily and gives you Big Bang for your bucks! $38k “out the door.” ( MSRP plus tax, etc)

this made me think... what would be a cheaper daily in the states that is close to what i am used to but more towards what i want... a speed 3.. omg.. i curently own a mk1 ford focus with the 1.8L na (zetec 114hp) 5speed manual and i kinda liked the speed 3 since need for speed carbon... and since the older 3s were basicly focuses with some changes here and there... god damn...

This was the exact video I was looking for I just recently purchased the same car you have except it’s a 2020 base model which is not different from yours and it definitely does not feel like a base model. If I get another car it will probably be the car you reviewed today. Also the 2020 version comes with the app connection.

Mazda performance optional 1750e in europe ( spoiler, side skirts,add on bumper and diffusor in black) = turbo look wheels 18s are optional standard in skyactiv x since the car come out = turbo wheels no different And u do get 100 years mazda branding in the front leather seats for the 100th anniversary edition Difference is europe cars dont get sunroof but we got awd manual skyactiv x ahahah Japanese and australian cars got hatch electronic open button where is the blank by driver memory seat buttons and ac vents for the back seats.

I love the look of the Soul Red Metallic, I have a review of a 2020 Mazda 6 coming out next week in that color. Looks fantastic, however it’s really really thin and can chip/scratch easily

hmm it should be, atleast in our country, highest trim has red leather interior and side skirt, front and rear lip

@@keent I went to dealer and had a closer look. It indeed had side sill. It looks the best on a white car with black side sill.

Mazda would have to design a new manual - the one they have now can't handle the torque and it is not cost effective to do that very few people buy manual in cars. Manual transmissions are going away even supercars are doing away with manuals.

@@kevinrobinson8474 they had to modify the automatic transmission for more torque as well they said they could do the same for the manual if people were to buy it so this is me showing me support

@@metsrock15 - big difference between modify and make a completely new manual transmission then there how few Manual transmissions they even sell. Which is why Mazda decided not to offer a manual. I think less than 1 percent of all Mazda 3 sold with manual.

@@kevinrobinson8474 I don't think that having to design a new manual and it being cost effective is anywhere close to a valid excuse. Mazda developed the Skyactiv-X, Diesel Mazda6 and CX-5, and mild hybrid with Rotary and Electric power. How on earth is designing a manual that difficult for them? Imagine how much they spent on developing the X, Diesel, and Rotary variants, all of which wont sell or sell very few in the US. It's not a valid excuse.

@@TheAdventureAuto well Mazda themselves stated that was a reason. Maybe if people started buying cars with manuals it might make a difference. Fact is enthusiast don't put thier money down and buy the cars otherwise manuals would still be offered. Comes down to this you want a manual offered then prove it Mazda has only so much money to spend and needs to spend it wisely which is exactly why they aren't offering a manual and also already have a new 8 spped automatic and V6 engine that they are developing with Toyota

Why? Ever see any acceleration test results. Much slower than the N.A. 2.5. Even slower than the 155 hp 2 liter sold here. Overhyped, hopeless. 180hp? Don't think so.

Trust me, not worth it. They are going nowhere in Australia due to the ridiculous cost compared to the 2.5 engine

I did hear the skyactiv x is getting a boost in power and torque. I think 188hp and 177lb-ft of torque

No it’s not a speed3......it’s actually faster. And I don’t know why anyone would want a manual? Nostalgia reasons? With today’s transmissions your hand can not and will not ever shift more efficiently then today’s automatics.

it's not about the speed of switching gears, it's the fun factor. Driving a manual gives you a sense of engagement and connection to a car that an automatic just can't give you. It's fun and in the right car very exciting, especially when you're spinning tires. BUT as far as daily driving and practical use, yes an automatic is the way to go.

My Jeep srt is 500 hp and does not have traditional manual shift. Neither does the 700hp trackhawk- Who cares at that point?! W 6 speed manual option in the Mazda it engages just fine. If it had more gears (like the Jeep) quite possibly it would make a difference
