I went to the dealership to get the 6, left with the 3 lol. Not sure if the 6 never got updated, but having test drove both, the 6 didn't make any sense. The 3 had more standard features at the preferred trim that you either didn't get at all, or had to get the Signature 6 to get. The 3's Infotainment is the new one too, whereas the 6's, even sig trim, is still Mazda's last gen unit. But aside from that, the 3 was more enjoyable and more engaging to drive with a better sounding Bose system. Wasnt even in the market for the 3 and saved 7 grand lol. Hell yea. I mean don't get me wrong the 6 was still a very nice car, just next to the 3 and everything it offered for far less, made it an easy deal-breaker.

Wow I am completely blown away even for a 2021 model, Mazda knows how to make modern vehicles without ruining an icon, and the fact they still don’t have Cvt transmissions even nicer, to me Mazda and Honda make some of the best Japanese reliable vehicles on the planet, Kia and Hyundai for Korean manufacturers have come along way, but I think Mazda still puts Kia and Hyundai to shame on performance still, and fancier than most Toyota’s and Nissan’s, and on par with Honda but slightly nicer than Honda, so with that being said I definitely will consider a Mazda 6 as my future car, once I wear out my 2015 Honda Civic Lx, I feel like all these car companies are getting better where Ford and Gm are getting sloppier like FCA has been for years. 🤔

I’ve owned 5 Mazda’s and for the lower price I paid on new Mazda’s they offer the value and fun and decently nice interior and great steering feel. I have no complaints for these cars.
@codybrandoncargle3129
@codybrandoncargle3129 3 года назад
@@2004cyrus Yeah that’s great to know Mazda’s are extremely dependable like Honda and Toyota that’s a plus in all itself, and you said Mazda’s are extremely cost friendly, yeah in comparison to a luxury car I agree, they still cost more than both Honda and Toyota but I definitely can see why, because even a newer Nissan doesn’t look as good as Mazda still, and a Kia and Hyundai isn’t quite as fancy as a Mazda but close, Mazda is still nicer than a Subaru even though they are similar in design to each other, and Mazda is definitely killer compared to a crappy Mitsubishi omg that’s one foreign brand that is from Japan I would never own is a Mitsubishi they are lousy compared to a Mazda by a long shot, and I got no complaints about it either! 🤔

I could pick up one of these any time from 2019 to 2021 but they all have front wheel drive right? It's just gonna be used to get groceries, do town stuff and a highway drive once or twice a month so would it be okay or should I consider waiting for AWD?
@gamerviking1557
@gamerviking1557 3 года назад
The Mazda 6 will no longer be produced after this year. So it wouldn’t matter if you wait or not since AWD will never be coming. However, look at the Mazda 3 since that one has had AWD since 2019.
@gerardistephens5142
@gerardistephens5142 3 года назад
@@gamerviking1557 yeah I heard US were losing the 2022 Mazda, sorry to hear. I'm from a Australia but honestly you still don't see many around. We call the "Signature" trim "Atenza" and I've actually only been only able to watch US vids because they're hardly shown on Aussies RU-vid channels. I test drove the model below the top trim and really enjoyed it (coming from a 2016 Nissan Qashqai). Just wondering if it would be worth waiting or just go with a front wheel drive
@gamerviking1557
@gamerviking1557 3 года назад
@@gerardistephens5142 only you know what’s best:) if you think you will need AWD where you live then the wait might be worth it for more performance in tough road conditions. Otherwise if you commute on normal roads and swap to winter tires during winter you should be fine with front wheel drive. If you take corners in a spirited manner and drive more spirited AWD might be of consideration as well. In the end try to test drive a few more and see how you like the handling of each(when AWD becomes available) and weigh in what you like in each drive train:) Good luck!

My 2016 Mazda 6 has 70k miles and has gone through 4 OEM batteries, valve cover gasket is leaking, hydronic belt tensioner is leaking, had a misfire and had to replace a leaking fuel injector, brakes wear out fast and front rotors warp extremely quick. I wouldn't call that great reliability so far.

Undeniably attractive exterior design. On paper, the 2.5L turbo engine is among the best in its class. Good driving dynamics. So why have Mazda6 sales dropped nearly 50% since the current generation was introduced in 2018? (From over 30,000 to 16,000 in 2020). The answer is fairly obvious. A long-in-the-tooth engine and transmission coupled with price increases that consumers apparently don't believe are justified. Of course, sales of mainstream midsize sedans have declined across the board but the Mazda6 is by far the biggest victim of the trend. By 2020 it ranked 20th among all midsize sedans, both mainstream and luxury models. With only 16K sales it fell behind the Volkswagen Passat by a significant margin! It's obviously unrealistic to expect the Mazda6 to challenge the Camry, Accord, or Altima in sales but dropping behind the Passat is simply embarrassing. And the outlook for 2021 is no better. Sales for the first quarter have dropped the "6" to 21st place behind the Infiniti QX50 as well as a variety of other luxury midsize sedans and the entire category of mainstream vehicles. The new generation KIA K5 and Sonata each accounted for over 20,000 sales in the first quarter of 2021 compared to barely over 4000 Mazda 6 sales. Mazda promises a new generation "6" with an inline 6 cylinder engine and RWD to be available near the end of 2022. Unfortunately, the company has earned a reputation for overpromising and underdelivering their promised schedules. Skyactiv X engines have been promised in the US for several years and have yet to show up. A diesel version of the CX-5 came along years behind schedule and was withdrawn six months after its introduction in 2020. I have a soft spot for Mazda vehicles. I've owned four over the years. But I'm skeptical that as the smallest independent mass market automaker on the planet will continue to put resources into a model that has proven to be such a major sales disaster.
@pleco101
@pleco101 2 года назад
How unfortunate. I drive an older Accord and was hoping the Mazda 6 would still be around. I'm not keen on the new Honda Accords due to quite a few cases of 10-speed auto issues and/or premature turbo failures, out of warranty. Not exactly something I want to chance. Maybe I can find a good deal on a used Mazda 6 when the time comes, or try out the Camry V6.

Extremely disappointed with my Mazda 6 2017. I used to love this car until now when my car center console screen gave up at only 50,000 miles. The screen starts to make random ghost selections with constant beeping noise. I read online and seems like alot of people had similar issues. Since the car is out of warranty it costs 1200$ for screen to be replaced.. Not reliable and cheaply made. You get what you pay for.
