This is the 2020 Nissan Magnite XV Premium 1.0 Turbo Petrol Manual Real Life Review . Nissan has recently launched the Magnite Compact SUV to compete with the 2020 Tata Nexon , 2021 Ford Ecosport , Kia Sonet , Hyundai Venue , Maruti Suzuki Brezza and Toyota Urban Cruiser . Launched at an introductory price of Rs 4.99 lakh (ex-showroom, India) , it also competes with Hatchbacks like Maruti Suzuki Swift , Maruti Suzuki Baleno , 2020 Hyundai i20 , and 2020 Tata Altroz including 2021 Tata Altroz iTurbo .
Nissan Magnite 2020 comes with a choice of two petrol engines :
1. Naturally aspirated 72hp, 1.0-litre petrol engine with a 5-speed manual gearbox
2. A 100hp, 1.0-litre turbo-petrol making 160Nm Torque paired to a 5-speed manual or a CVT gearbox .
Magnite has been launched with different trim-levels-
XE, XL, XV, XV Premium and XV Premium (O) . Nissan Magnite XV , XV Premium and XV Premium (O) can be had with an optional technology pack which includes:
LED scuff plates
Ambient mood lighting
Puddle lamps.
Wireless charger
Air purifier
High-end JBL speakers

Also Nissan Magnite not giving XE variants to their customers. Discrimination between customers variants wise. Show that on ur video.Already lots of youtubers praise Magnite, make videos on it, 35K booking profitable for Nissan not for Customers. 4.99 L one kind of publicity, now by delaying delivery to XE forceing customers to go for higher varaints.

Here is the context. The 1.3 turbo engine is jointly developed by Daimler AG and Nissan-Renault Alliance. This 1.0-litre 3-cyl is the downsized version of the 1.3 which has been done by Nissan-Renault. Hence, neither of the engines are Mercedes-sourced whereas the 1.0 has been engineered by Nissan only!

1.0 NA is a Renault engine. Turbo petrol is the downsized version of the one found in Kicks, co developed by Daimler-Nissan and a little bit of Renault. So yes, it a Mercedes sourced/ co-developed engine

Laughable reviews. The whole media said CVT is the one to go and you recommend the manual? Nissan CVTs are the best in business and very reliable. No one in India has registered any complaint on CVT failure of Nissan. So stop showing foreign complaints from users. Your clickbaity titles have nothing to do with what you are proving to the viewers 👎

Test drove this Magnite yesterday. I was seriously surprised by how much softer the suspension has become after experiencing the Kicks. Even the Hyundai Venue feels tighter.

No doubt that the car is big hamper in small package... Let's hope that Nissan do not receive Indian mass in terms of after sales service, spares availability what KIA did and doing with respect to Sonet...

Carmaster, you said that newer VW cars like Tiguan Allspace and T-ROC come with wet type DCTs unlike the older ones which came with dry type ones. Is it really true? But nowadays Hyundai is offering unreliable dry type DCTs and are just fooling the customers. Hyundai says that their new DCTs do not heat up because of software update. Is it really true? Please answer.

Carmaster, I heard that dry type DCT heats up a lot in city traffic. But some people say that it depends on driving manners and they say that it you slot it in Neutral N mode instead of D while standing idle in traffic. Is it really true? You always force people to avoid dry type DCT for city traffic. Please answer. I am totally confused.

You should not expect 2 mechanical components working without any lubrication between them to last long. That's the basic idea behind avoiding dry type dct. Especially in traffic, where the frequency of gear changes is a lot more.

But people are saying that putting it in N mode when the car is idle in stop go traffic will reduce heating effect. Is it true?

@@ishaanrevankar492 definitely true. But the effect isn't as drastic or I should say valuable. But then for how long can one keep the car in N and not drive? This is okay for long traffic halts. But in start-stop traffic, this is virtually a useless solution.

@@CarMasteronly Yes. Now I guess you are right. Dry type DCTs are worth avoiding. Wet type DCTs and Torque converters are way better for city commutes.

But Hyundai and Kia are fooling their customers by offering dry type DCTs for city commutes. Whereas VW has given Torque converter in the Polo and Tata is planning to offer wet type DCT in the Altroz iturbo for better reliability. Screw that Hyundai for fooling their customers. They say that it does not heat up because of software update. It is just a marketing gimmick. People should get the knowledge of DCTs. If you put it in N mode in stop go traffic how long can you put it where the traffic is continuous.
