This isn’t criticism Sam but is it possible to correct and update the video after the fact? I was always curious on that topic as I see videos years later with minor edit issues that seem to be easily corrected. Just curious if it’s a time/cost issue or some other reason preventing an updated video from being posted. In this case it’s. Minor typo that’s largely irrelevant but it obviously bugs some people enough to post nasty comments. 😞

I saw that too. The Supra only lost the roll. All the others, the Supra crossed the line first. And almost like he let off the gas after the finish line each time.
Also dude driving the Mercedes didn't use launch control, he just stomped the fucking gas?? Supra got him on the launch. He uses launch control....supra would never stand a chance

I'm guessing you mean when he did the 1st 2 races in comfort mode with the 1st one not counting because the supra used launch control. And yes the traction control would kick in badly for the merc because of the extra torque. The REAL races are when in sport mode and also the roll race. I dont know why Sam seems to think 2 'normal' mode races is necessary. I like the effort and most of the content just not the editing and the 2 'normal' mode races.
And as always it proves that BMW underrates engine power output. Can’t wait to get that M3 Xdrive allocation. Than 63S won’t stand a slight chance against that one, although the new 63S hybrid will be a monster for sure.
@@760rudogg yup! You are correct but also look for actual WHP on those Supra and you will see that the power these put down don’t correlate to the drivetrain loss. These more like 450. If you look for other BMW you will find the same pattern. Again yes the weight is importan as the acceleration is basically dictated by power/weight assuming the drivetrain is up to the task
So question here. Is the BMW Z4 with this same engine equally as fast? I don't hear anything about the Z4 (admittedly not specifically looking for content) and I'm curious if Toyota did something special with the Supra that makes a significant difference (additional weight savings, tuning, etc.) Anyone know?
The new C63 AMG has been teased online and is rumored to have over 600hp, if they add the 4Matic system to the C63 AMG then the M3 Xdrive will have some work to do.

@@alexion7160 The m3 is newly remodeled as well as that the sick ass m4. The c63s had nothing new done to it spec wise since 2016. The new c63s coupe will be optional with 630hp and a dramatically faster 0 - 100 sprint. I am interested to see what happens when on an even playing field. Should be good as it always is.
The problem is the merc has too much power for it to be rear wheel and needed to be all wheel drive to really put it down off the line. The v8 biturbo prevents awd system from being implemented for this model as there is no room to put it. This thing still picks up disturbingly fast rolling and off the line.
@@spian true but itll be a 4 cylinder engine out of the a45s plus an electric motor. Cars are at a point where straight line speed shouldn't be a priority. Id rather have the 2016 c63 with the 4L twin turbo v8 over the 2023 c63 4cylinder with an electric motor even if the 2023 is faster (which it will be ) . Atleast the m3 and m4 still have the character of an inline 6

Its going to be quicker in a straight line but it takes away all the character and emotion. Electric cars already won the numbers game. Merc is not known to kill anything on the track. The m5 comp is faster around the track than a E63s, not even considering the m5 CS kills it . The x5m kills the GLE63 on the track. The m2 cs kills the a45s on the track
I have the 2021 Lexus IS 350 FSport and the type s will beat it. I raced my partner 2021 Hyundai Sonata N Line and it kept up with me and it only has 290hp.
Unfortunately we don’t know if the guy in the Toyota backed off sooner it’s hard to tell without trap speeds. But realistically it should be charging hard it’s got 130 more horsepower and at least that in torque it’s not even a fair comparison really. Not to mention the price tag.

That Supra gets off the line pretty well for a rwd car with as much torque that it has and how quickly it gets into its power compared to your average turbo car with that displacement and power.
Love the format. Nice 🎄btw! Gearing, weight and electronics are dialed in. Atop bi-turbo’s are magnificent, that’s where they shine. Well planted and even the G55’s are impressive and surprise many. Keep it coming brother.

Less weight is an advantage off the line, more HP is an advantage at high speeds (with comparable power to weight ratios). Big HP overcomes air resistance at higher speeds. Generally speaking of course, there are many variables in transmissions and drive ratios, tire diameter, etc...
Ok it's funny how so many people make comments and do not own either car. I own a 2021 C63 AMG S. I am laughing because this race doesn't make sense at all. If you buy a car you don't drive in a drag race to lose. Traction control off lol are you serious! The AMG is a monster. Mercedes engineers said hey we need to keep this monster planted and put bigger tires and rims on the 2021. So why would they add a great traction control, to win races lol. So do you think I will turn it off to give the other guy the advantages. We are talking real life. Also you don't know how to properly drive a AMG you never press straight down out the gate! It really takes skill to drive a AMG.( See that was plenty of lacking that in the race.) I also own an Audi RS5 so those are two very different cars. I know a little of what I am talking about having spent many hours in these cars (not an hour) In the real world supra gets its doors blown off.( with the BM engine) Its nice but not super coupe nice. Such disrespect to a future classic. I was never a Mercedes fan until I got an AMG get one and you will know what I am mean///

This video was just made to promote the supra XD.. i mean the C63s runs high 11s on the quarter mile . But judging by the launch of the C63s, it was just driven poorly.
Very unimpressed with the C63 launch. I've been racing my buddies c63 against my AWD C43. He doesn't pass me until 70-80 mph. Then he gaps me by atleast 3 cars to the 1/4 mile. But if we are just racing light to light it's not even close. The only neck & neck runs between our cars is 8th mile passes.
Supra won every dig. Merc only won from a roll. And the Merc is the beast? It's bigger, heavier, more expensive and it's a Mercedes. I'd still take the Supra.
You obvious don't know anything about cars. Most people will never understand AMG's unless you own one. Anyone that drives an AMG know why they're worth every penny. This guy in the video just can't drive, he loses every race, no matter what car he's in.
@@kimmeysam they just did a drag race with the c43 versus the 3.3L stinger GT. The c43 beat it by 2 tenths. However in the motor trend magazine they have the c43 running 12.8and the Stinger GT 365hp running 13.6
Can anyone tell me if the 2021 M340i sounds like the Supra? It’s the same damn engine and I would think the same exhaust but I don’t know. I’m looking to buy one next year but this Supra sounds louder and better
Hey i’m the owner in the vid! Believe it or not i was planning on getting a M340i before the Supra. Obviously same engine and numbers but much more practical with the X-Drive. From what i’ve experienced, a normal M340i is no where as loud as the Supra. However, with the Performance Exhaust Package i noticed how loud it is but not just as loud as the Supras exhaust, i don’t know what’s up with that i have not done my research. I ditched one BMW for another BMW😅. Hope this helps!

I wouldn’t get the Supra because I need the 4 doors having kids and all. Im guessing the sound difference between the two may have to do with the length of the pipes. The Supra being so much shorter in length than the BMW probably affects the sound output. Thank you again!

Maybe if the C63S was supercharged instead of bi-turbo, it would be a bit quicker from a standing start - the older 55's, V8 Kompressors, were less bhp (479) but similar torque (515ft lbs)

The 21 Supra’s are underrated, they push 450hp tot he crank, 388 to the wheels. So yes, this results are very accurate. And the only Supra’s you are “destroying” are probably 2020 with 50 less HP than the 21 Supra’s.
@@jpSD297 You’re god damn right. I’m the owner in the vid! I have raced many different C63S’, my own brother also has a 2020 Sedan model. Results have always been the same; Win from dig, obliterated while rolling. The Supras you might have faced could also have been the 2.0L model if not the 2020 one with less power. Fanbois are blind. Supra was being launched the AMG wasn't. The Supra can't lose both races. Dig n roll. Put a real driver n it would have losed from a dig n roll. They just floored the AMG. What's that about.. the Mer also has launch control.

The Supra is lighter......plus that BMW launch control, so of course it'll win from the dig. Superior horsepower will always go around you in the long run though.
Love the channel. This vid is sus: The Supra let off before the line every time it was visible. The E63 got the hit on every roll race. This could have been done a lot better for a fair comparison. The Supra kept up better than expected. Re-organize and try it again... keep the comparison as fair as possible. It was not here.
You do know the merc has launch control. That car should beat the supra everytime. It runs sub 12s 1/4 mi. And that should be with a driver of any skill as you just hold down the throttle and the car does the rest.
