Using Vento 1.5 with DSG gearbox from last 7 years. Done 1.8lakh km. And I have never faced issue with the gearbox, in fact the DSG gearbox is the best gearbox I have ever driven. I am never going for a torque converter after using the DSG for this long. It’s fastest and the most powerful of all, it compliments the turbocharged engines of all VW group cars.

Brother what about the heating issue as alleged by many ? It's also said that this transmission is not trustworthy. What do you say ?

@@kpbabu4684 I never faced any heating issue. I have changed my mechatronic once because of the heavy rains & flood 3 years ago. DSG over any gearbox any day. Also this gearbox technology is more advanced and powerful so it is obvious costly then other gearbox’s.

@@kunalpurohit77 same, done almost 1.5L kms in 1.5 TDI and only in only in a heavy flood did gearbox breakdown but still car was running, did not stop. This happened at 90k kms n it’s running smoothly since

I too have a Vento 1.2 TSI with DSG gearbox and it's a beast and the best combo of engine and gearbox. But I did a short test drive with Torque Converter gearbox, gear shifting and acceleration is almost the same. There is not much of a difference. Will have to test it on highways at high speeds, maybe to get the difference .

I've heard it almost everywhere that VW has cut corners in this Taigun. Sad to see VW going the KIA route. But still, mann nahi maanta 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Yes brother you are absolutelty right I saw all the related videos then Brother if we are willing to buy 1.5 automatic transmission then which should we opt VW or Skoda...? Now brother only you can take me out from this dilemma.

I'd say the Taigun. Kushaq is suffering from EPC issues in a lot of cars. I'm yet to hear the same for Taigun.

Both are same in performance & reliability for long term use. Go for any you like. VW have good service network and after sales support. You will fall in love with the DSG gearbox.

@@CarMasteronly Both are from same assembly line and bare metals are same. Only thing is as they launched (as per their strategy to keep VW name clean) Kushaq first and addressed all the issues in Taigun. Otherwise , had Taigun come first, it would have the same issues what has been reported in Kushaq

Torque converter gear box is reliable.. but what about 1.0 tsi engines ? Are they reliable ?

Engine is fine. Not the best. It incurs timing belt and valve related issues as it nears the 100000km mark. And being German, it's not an easy fix.

I am getting the 1.0 tsi auto on dhanteras . Drove the 1.5 also felt there was a bit more low end lag in it but boy when it starts goin damn the punch . I am goin with 1.0 because it's in the showroom . God knows when the 1.5 will be delivered with the shortages of semiconductor

@@rahulbhate1296 the engine is very smooth lower down . Power is good enough most of the time. U only miss the 1.5 on highways and fast overtakes . But overall much better driver's car than creta

Hi ,usage very less Eg - I want to keep the car for 10 years ,but odly 40k to 50k kms only for 10 years ,will you recommend vw 1.5 dsg for Because I need best engine ,but in manual ,I miss cruise control ,sunroof etc Can I go with vw taigun dsg

Dsg is something you can be sure about. I personally won't ever take the risk. But for such low mileage usage, it might be not be troublesome.

You can check the Xuv700 automatic too. Otherwise Taigun 1.0 tsi auto is the best choice.

There is no issue with DSG gearbox. Wonder why these reviews are complaining without owning one or talking to someone who owns the new DSG. Taigun 1.5 DSG is a winner in the segment.

Are you sure that vw taigun dsg has no reliability issues I have short listed two cars Vw taigun dsg And Hyundai creta diesel at But I confused between these two Someone saying that creta no safety , not fun to drive Some others saying vw taigun not reliable , reliability for long time ?

Dsg reliability is a well known fact. Fans or some lucky owners might disagree, but complaint forums and mechanics never lie. It's a problematic gearbox most of the time.

Don’t agree on the Dsg gearbox part. Have a Jetta that still works with the Dsg gearbox but considering the way we drive cars in India (in cities) then Dsg is definitely not a option.

what nonsense !!! the vid has been titled as GT 1.5 and the presenter has been driving DSG autobox .. kindly learn and update your common sense before choosing the title ...before clickbaiting ppl it's the Evo series GT plus engine.
