Correct, it is an upcharge. We included prepaid maintenance and window tint to the customer as part of it, but they basically paid a “market adjustment” as there were only four S3’s coming to Colorado initially, all of which sold almost immediately.

@@coreykononchuk We are ordering an RS3 here in New England when they finally can be ordered. the uncharge is why most consumers hate the car buying process. Glad I am not in Colorado.

@@1vtbear I don't disagree with you but it's nothing new, and due to the current market conditions, becoming common practice where demand far outstrips supply. It's not uncommon to see used S/RS cars selling at or above their original MSRP right now. OEM's are also raising the price on new cars - we have had a couple cars' MSRP increase by $1-2k from the time they left the factory to the time they arrived at the dealership.

Fortunately, no one is obligated to buy a $59,000 luxury automobile. The value is determined by the market, and in this case, it was worth paying for someone. Want to buy a new Civic Type R? I've heard of $25,000 addendums.

@@CarsandCorey You're right, fortunately we do have the choice not to shop at this dealer who is taking advantage of the current situation. There are plenty of other dealers who are fair and not charge over the MSRP!!!

“determined by the market” no, it’s determined by whoever marks it up, to gouge the customer, plain & simple.

I guess we’re a garage dealer, whatever that means. So are all of the other Audi dealers in the state. Welcome to the 2021 car-buying market!
