This is a detailed mpg test on a 2k mile rd trip from Tucson AZ to Moab Utah to Las Vegas then to California and back home to AZ. Thanks for watching and follow us on Instagram also @ odyssey_offroad
I have a 2021 Mojave Gladiator and did multiple short (500mi) trips. 1 jaunt was with a dual axle trailer with a full dresser Harley through the mountains. Overall fuel average for 3952mi is 20mpg. Tonneau cover did make a difference I believe. Great video.
Another great video! WOW! I think that is phenomenal gas mileage considering you did several 4X4 trails and slow stoplight driving along with a bad headwind! Don’t think there’s a lot of vehicles that would be any better under the same conditions!
I average 18-19 with lots of traffic. The computer is dead on when tested against the pump. If I reset and cruze @ 70mph ac off 6th gear I see 23/24 which is incredible for a lifted 4wd truck on 33 mud ter tires. The 3.6 pent is an absolutely amazing engine.
It definitely gets better but that's low. Reset the trip every tank and see how each tank does. I sild rhis one amd just for a second one and i got great mpgs on both. Do you have the mud tires ? Check out this video too. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-e8F6auJQt9U.html
@@chucklesthefireguy5356 the pro4x is a nice truck but wont go nearly as far offroad and not hardly any aftermarket support. It all depends on what you're after.
@@chucklesthefireguy5356 yeah I seen that it's crazy. They are nice little trucks I don't know why more companies don't make things for them. I think that is what holds that truck back in sales numbers compared to the competitors is because the a/m support for Nissan is just not there. Nice truck though and I wouldn't complain about driving one. Enjoy!
Do you daily the Mojave? Also, how does it handle the Tucson potholes? I'm a U of A guy who had a JK in college and got tired of being rattled around. Id love to know how this is as a daily driver for a mid sized truck!
I no longer own it but yes I did use it as a daily I also had a JK back in the day and this is light years better than that was. Keep in mind anytime you buy a vehicle with a solid front axle however it's not going to handle as well as a vehicle with an independent front suspension on the roadways. That being said the gladiator Mojave handles very well for what it is.
Mojave drives nicer on the road because the suspension is tuned for higher speed driving so when you're on the freeway hitting bumps it eats them up the Rubicon suspension is a lot softer for rock crawling so it's a little more bouncy on the road that's the best way to describe it in my opinion.
It's the A/T tires, that causes the noise in the cabin and low MPG....I had the Gladiator Willey edition 2022 and was getting the same 18 mpg and wind noise. So I traded it in for the Overland edition and it's less wind noise and I'm averaging 20 to 21 mpg. The Overland doesn't come with the A/T tires...Big Difference
I hear what you're saying It's 100% wind noise It is not tire noise at all these tires are super quiet You can tell the difference between tire noise and wind noise. When the wind blows and it comes in through the gaskets That's wind noise.
@@DUNEATV Your right, Jeeps have to have the off road tires on them, but if you want good ride quality and less noise in the cabin go with the passenger tires. No off-roading for me...just like the look😁
Well that really depends on the price of gas when you're filling up and every area is obviously different. It's a 22 gallon gas tank so even if you run it to empty is about 2 gallons in reserve so figure from dead empty 20 gallons times whatever the cost of fuel at 87 octane.
