The Magic taking Paolo is not like the Sixers taking Fultz. Its the opposite. Fultz was the consensus #1 overall (2022 previously Smith) and Tatum was the 3rd pick (Paolo in 2022...).

I actually think that Banchero was the right choice for the magic, they have a very strong defensive team without a go to scorer and Paolo should be that for them.

Pretty sure the Magic was just trying to get a guy who could for sure become the first option. Nothing wrong with Jabari's game. He's actually a great fit for the Rockets and absolute steal if you ask me.

Paolo Banchero was a great pick for the Magic. He is more polished and NBA ready and his all-around game is what they need and has to be the go-to-guy

Magic drafted Banchero at no1 bcoz they know that he is willing to carry the franchise for the next 10+ years. Meanwhile, Jabari is all about being no.1 himself. He will undoubtedly stay with the Rockets for 4 years or less.

I disagree with every element of this video. Giving Orlando an F is unwarranted for 3 reasons: 1) Mock drafts are called a "mock" for a reason. Just because the actual draft doesn't go according to the mocks, that is ok. Stop trying to contextualize and make everything conform when you don't understand it. Orlando was doing a smokescreen to get Paolo instead of Jabari. Mock and actual draft are not the same, so giving Orlando an F just because they didn't take who the mocks say is baseless 2) Paolo Banchero is a better fit than Jabari Smith Jr. in Orlando and gives Orlando the alpha scorer that they need, so taking Banchero to fill team needs does not warrant an F. 3) Getting angry because th team drafted a different player from the consensus when the reasons the Magic GM gave for drafting Banchero first and drafting Banchero over consensus mock #1 overall pick Jabari Smith Jr. are legitimate is extremely shortsighted. Paolo Banchero does not deserve an F and him and Fultz share 0 similarities from a basketball standpoint. They just both happen to be in Orlando and on the same team but that is where the similarities end. Banchero is more like Tatum than Fultz FYI. Giving Orlando an F makes no sense and all of the reasons you gave for giving the Magic an F make absolutely no sense and there are 100 holes in your argument you gave.

You can't use hindsight with the draft, Fultz was the clear #1 pick at the time of his draft. He just didn't pan out. The magic drafted a guy who projects to be an alpha scorer, something they don't have right now. If Jabari is good they'll live with that decision because it makes sense.
