Hey Steve. Thank you for the video. Great review and very detailed. I am hovering between the QN90B and QN95B in 85". In my local marked the QN95B is just 7-8% more expensive at the moment. Just not sure which to choose. I think they are both great tv´s with the 95 having a bit more points og different areas. I have seen both side by side. Also i like the one connect box. I have that on my old 65" JU7005. Is worth going for the QN95B with the new processor and one connect box?

Steve, thanks for the awesome review. I am actually replacing a Sony A9S OLED with this one. Honestly I like the OLED...don't love it. Streaming RU-vid TV on it has some issues with motion blur and judder. My 7 year old Samsung LED in a spare bedroom has no such issues so I am hoping the same will hold true for the QN90B. Can't wait til it arrives.

I am about to pull the string on a new 55" Samsung QLED TV. I have three on my short list. The price variance it not huge, but if there is not to much to gain from one over the other spending less is obviously a good thing. The three I am looking at are; QN85A, QN90A (+$200 over QN85A) and QN90B (+$300 over QN85A). Is with worth spending $300 more for the QN90B? I am not a TV snob, but I do enjoy a good picture since I watch a lot of TV. Just some baseline information; viewing angle is not an issue since I am straight on to the TV 100% of the time, my TV watching room is very dimly lit, I have a sound system but only use it on occasion so decent on TV sound is important and I do not use my TV for gaming. I do have an outdoor antenna that I use to get local TV, but mainly I stream. I currently have a 50" Samsung and find the size about right for my viewing distance which is about 10ft. I am open to going a little larger if there are some gains to be had. Oh and I do not use voice control and have an old Samsung 7 Android phone. Would really appreciate your opinion as I find your reviews the most consistent, thorough (without getting too deep into the weeds) and unbiased. Thank you sir.

The QN90B is a very good TV so far. Bright as hell. Blooming is so minimal that at times it comes pretty close to OLED. The black level is beautiful and deep black. Don't be fooled, this one really comes close to OLED! The sound of the TV itself is very good for a reasonably flat TV. Dolby Atmos is great. Convenient Home menu with clear place for your favorite apps. It all works intuitively and quite smoothly. The Tv comes with a very handy and light remote that charges itself with a solar cell or via usb c. So no more searching for batteries. The build quality is very good as we have come to expect from Samsung. Finally the central support is back.... A very heavy solid metal support. In short...here a very satisfied Samsung QE65QN90B user. 😉

Hi great to know l live in Australia and just bought one. Actually it's still in the box am waiting for it to be st up in a few days time. Prices in Australia are outrages compared to America. So l was forced to get the 50 inch. But desperately wanted the 55inch. I found the 50 for 1509 Australia dollars. Which l bargained down from 1895 $ For some reason the 55 was 2400$ which is a ridiculous difference for 5 inches. Then l was looking g on the internet again like ten days later and the 55 in ch was down to 1750$ So in ten days ut went down over 600. The shopp snapped it over and l played the difference. We don't have curtains there so the sun comes in. I believe an Oled TV will be less good in light rooms. What would you say? Also with the cables what do you mean with old cables. I meanly use HDMI. Hmmm Tech Steve: Great video. I am looking to use this tv as a monitor. Specifically, I am concerned about the HDMI 2.1 port(s) being capable of handling 4K 120hz with 10-bit color and 4:4:4: chroma which takes roughly 42gbps throughput. In other words, does this TV have full fat 48gbps HDMI 2.1 ports or are they gimped like most tv's claiming "2.1" support? If not what are the stated speeds of the stated speed of the port(s)? And if this tv does not support my specs above at 120hz what does text look like if you go down to 60hz? Thank you.

I just bought this model. It was a toss-up between it and the Sony X95K; I chose the Samsung. After careful analysis. For my reasons, I chose to go with the mini-LED platform rather than OLED/QD OLED. I discovered minimal difference between this and the 95 model. The QN95B comes with variable 120/144hz refresh rate and the One Connect; the QN90B does not. The casual owner will be unable to differentiate between the two displays. Rtings evaluated these, and both 75" models have 720 local dimming zones. Rtings is a good resource tool for device specifications. However, their ratings don't overrule viewer experience. I've seen all high-end manufacturer models and wouldn't be able to tell one from another. TVs have gotten that good. Good review. Thanks. You were helpful in my choice.

@@3rooklyn I researched panels for two months before making my decision. Are there better panels out there? Yes. If you have the money and can wait then the Samsung S95C and the LG G3 are the top contenders. Sony too but I don't remember the model. The con to these? $$$$$$$$ I paid $3300 for the 75" QN90B, matching sound bar, accessories, delivery, setup, all from Best Buy. Both the S95C and LG G3 are $4500. How much can you afford? How long can you wait? I bought the best panel for the money. My best friend bought the 65" Samsung S95B back in December; it's drawbacks were size limitation (55"/65") and the panels are fragile.(roughly a quarter inch thick). 'Blooming' is an issue with LED/LCD panels but you'll never notice it. I notice some 'color banding' but that may be the source more than the panel. It's got so many options under settings you'll be happier every day. Display is excellent under bright or dark lighting conditions. The alternatives mentioned above are better but are they $1500 better for you? I HIGHLY recommend you purchase through Best Buy and subscribe to their Total Tech program. (unless you're a professional TV installer and can do everything yourself); saved a bunch of money. I included 'in wall' mounting so all HDMI and power cables are out of sight; just a large panel clean mount. Feel free to ask anything else.

hello really hoping you can help i spoke to samsung employees and was told to buy the samsung qn88c instead of the 90b . They guaranteed me that the picture quality of the qn88c will be better. Could you confirm this?

Dope review. Trying to choose between this and a LG G1 at the 55" size. About 60%-70% games and 30-40% movies and netflix. Anyone have any opinions? Btw i like bright colors and shadow detail. Play games like red dead 2 and assasians creed

I bought the qn90a this week and have no regrets. It’s an incredible tv and I had it for a grand cheaper than the qn90b. Those improvement are not worth a grand.

Hi Steve. Currently in the market for a new tv and I stomped on your reviews. They´re great, good job. I´m unsure if I should choose the Samsung 50QN90B or the LG 48C2. For PS5 and a lot of Netflix, HBO Max and normal TV. For a normal use, everyday 4 to 5 hours. Can you give your opinion? Thanks

I am also choosing between those two! If it wasnt for burn ins, as I am a hardcore gamer, I would pick the LG C2 without a doubt, but the Samsung is also looking good

I don't know if you have chosen your TV yet. However, I recently got the 50 inch Samsung QN90B and I'm very happy with my purchase. The picture quality looks great. The sound quality is very impressive. It does a superb job when you are playing games at 4K120 fps with games feeling super responsive and looking great. Also VRR just adds a nice touch. I can honestly say that when you get used to playing games at 120 fps and you go back to playing them at 60 fps it just feels sluggishly slow. 120 fps is definitely the way to go forward.

Steve just wondering if you can quickly explain the main differences between this and last years model? (80 series). Looking at the 75 in model. 80 series is on sale for 1599 and the 90 series is on sale for 2299. Just wondering if the newer model is worth the 700 increase in price. Thanks. Great videos.

Again, sorry forgot to ask, I have a Samsung Q80T Series 55" QLED 4K (2160p) UHD Smart TV with HDR (2020 Model), what is the difference between this model and the one you're showing. Sorry for the silly question. Is it worth it to upgrade?

Excellent review. I think I have made my mind up to move from my lg oled cx 77 to the qn90b 85 for my home theater. Wanted the bigger brighter screen for more home theater impact. And my lg is getting returned due to dead pixels and bad pixels through the screen.

I have a 2020 65" LG CX OLED. It developed a thin black vertical line right of center. Fortunately, for the first time ever, I took out an insurance plan because of concern of burn-in and burn-out of organic LEDs. I'm receiving a replacement TV. I was offered another LG OLED, but I asked for and am getting this Samsung QN90B. Honestly, while the contrast on the LG CX is awesome, the color vibrancy on my 10-year-old Sharp Aquos is superior. I think I'm done with OLEDs. I'll sacrifice some blooming some of the time for bright vibrant colors all the time. Really hoping I'm not disappointed by the QN90B.

@@Truzak hi bob. I have had my qn90b for a few months and I am really happy with it over the oled. You will love it. First of all the brightness and pop of colors is impressive and it is a larger screen. Don’t feel bad that you don’t have the “super cool” oled.

You where saying about cable management for the TV. It’s already there, the groves on the back that go horizontal and the ones on the stand are cable management grooves
@TechSteve

If you’re using cables that thin like spaghetti, good cables are thick and will not fit… it’s funny how many people don’t realize that I tried before say that to save you time. Next time I’ll just show you.
