The Red Line under the Dual Motor badge is only on the Performance. The designates that it's a performance.

I chose the long range. Makes more sense especially when getting an EV. Thanks for the review and for the Tesla content.

Long range with Boost upgrade ftw

You can get the long range with 19 inch wheels and get the acceleration boost. That’s a better deal than performance

If you like doing some more aggressive and fun driving out of the box the performance is the way to go. Long range brakes are even worse and you can’t get it sideways

So after watching the video I have questions on the ending stats... M3-P has 340Kw Battery compared to 258Kw Battery in M3-LR. I can see they both have an 82Kw Battery. Just wondering what you were referencing by the battery sizes you said in the video. Thanks

In Canada, the difference between the long-range and performance is $2000-$4000 depending on the paint etc. More value in the performance considering the difference in range is only 70km.

I clicked on this video to learn what the difference between these two models were and I ended up with a M3 review video……. Why?? Waste of time.

Jumping on the highway with the performance is an unparalleled experience. But driving around town it just feels like too much power, makes the ride jerky. I'm aiming for the long range (once I save up!).

What you said about the badge and telling the difference between performance and long range, that’s incorrect. The performance model has a red line under Dual Motor.

Why would you want a key fob? I don’t even use the key card… my phone is my key. When I walk up to the car it unlocks and let’s me get in and drive away while my phone stays in my pocket lol doesn’t get any simpler than that.

If you watch Carwow and other channels the long range is the same if not slightly faster on a roll... From a dig, the performance destroys it. But thats worth $15k in australia? not worth it. long range for the win

Pretty simple to denominate the LR vs the Performance. The LR doesn’t have the red line under the Dual Motor badge. It’s been like this since the beginning. And for those who have Navigation in their car, looking to the Right is something commun. It’s a good thing Tesla moved the Speed number to the left top corner, it’s pretty much in the line of sight. And you really have no idea what kW stands for vs kWh. Please read the specs before saying the Performance has 340 kW battery and LR 258 kW battery. That’s idiotic at best.

I would choose a performance because it’s quicker in-terms of charging speed. And the only thing difference really is the top speed and zeros frankly from initial power from 0 to 60 they’re pretty much the same but the 60 to 130 is much more Porten in the performance. but I do agree with you that Tesla should differentiate their models.
