I see what you are saying but its not that simple. Its like comparing a Toyota Yaris to an entry level 3 series. Perhaps on paper the Yaris might have a ton of features that make the 3 series seem primitive in comparison, until you finally step into each of the cars and drive them and then realize how premium and comfortable the 3 series is to drive while the Yaris feels like you are siting inside a wheelbarrow with biscuit wheels. Same with the Polo. When you step inside a Polo life model (or R line) and then step into any of its competitors, even before driving the cars there is a very noticeable difference in beauty and design of the dash, steering wheel, and the interior. And then when you drive the cars, with VW it will not feel like an S class... but it will certainly feel more premium than any of the competitors from the Jap' nation.

I'm a sedan person but this is one of the few times where the hatchback is better. Though for what it's meant to do (maybe things like uber/bolt, transportation, new small family) I guess it's actually a good package (not the entry level one though) As always the content was great and let there be more to come🤝🔥

🤣On the performance SUV issue, about a week ago I talked my uncle out of the idea. It makes no sense having a family SUV that has low profile tyres, same as buying an X5 and fitting it with M3 wheels🚶♂️
Here is why they discontinued all those sedans and except for the Polo sedan in mzansi in my opinion, price of new Jetta would start from R550k 😂 a Passat would be R789k entry level and Arteon R920k so they knew exactly how the consumers would react
I just sold my wife's Ford Focus 1.6 Poweshift... also showed me flames. The North American marked had a recall for door latches where Ford paid for replacement of all 4 doors' latches... in my case, I had to pay R4000 when passenger door hatch broke cause their dodgy design but in SA they don't offer recalls on it.
I just don't understand why there's too many polo car considering how expensive they are compared to rivals who are offering way better specked cars than v.w
The have a very premium feeling. Go step inside a Polo (not Polo Vivo) and then step inside any of its comptetitors (hyundai i20, Peugeot 208, Toyota Yaris, etc) and you will see why VW is so popular. Even if we put looks aside and we compare how they drive. Polo can do 180 kph and still be comfortable and not too dramatic. Try that with a Yaris and you will be performing a ritual to thank your ancestors if you survive.

Anyone else notice that the base model doesnt get seat back pockets? I will say its the most powerful NA engine in the class but yeah, the Ciaz is the better bang for your buck, even a top spec GLX auto makes more sense than the base model for this.
Next time please talk about extended service and warranty plans! I am being slapped with a R5k bill for a service at 60k kms . So I'm wondering to myself If I should have bought a service plan! I should know better for the future!
i dont understand why thy didnt give this car a sunroof. i want the Life but i dont want cream seats, so i have to opt for the entry model. i also dont want the radio on the entry i want the one in life model, is it possible to fit a bigger screen?
I love it when o lahle Sepedi in there Muzi. I think i was wrong to write this off when i saw the adverts and stuff. Personally I think i love it more than the old model.but it has to be the Life Version. . Those leather seats are going to be a problem for us with little kids🤨🤨
In my opinion and as someone who opted for the Quest, it’s definitely better coz mind you this was the previous gen Corolla that they just renamed to the Quest. Space, comfortability, reliable and just overall budget friendly quality is guaranteed.

Shem, the car has a bit of potential based on its practicality but the 1.6 engine option is a let down. Lately I don't understand why they stopped giving us the Jetta and the normal Golf. Those cars had real value.
