I've been riding a Deep Thinker. It took getting used to changed my stance three times. I've found that board to be aggressive but am used to it now and really like it. Maybe I'll step up to this even though really I can't touch a board like this. Looks so sick though. Cool review thanks.

My personal best on my 13 custom x at my local mt. Sunrise, on Spruce Ridge. Was a mild 79.5 mph. 😉

I just got this board I'm 6'6 250 so maybe it won't be as stiff for me. But my best is 51 mph my last bored was a skunk ape lib tech. I'm hoping I made the right decision by getting this bored. I got the 166w

Wow. I clocked about 45 on my 16 year old Custom-X at Breck last year, and it didn't feel like my fastest (I just started using speed tracking). But I don't think I could hit 80 unless I was falling off a cliff. Don't think I'd want to. I got frostbite on my face from those 40 MPH runs.

I am an aggressive carver that likes to hit the back country and tree lines. Moguls are one of my favorite things just weaving between them. Would you recommend this board or?

The Custom X camber does not really like moguls. The flying V version is best for moguls and tighter trees and turns. The first thing you said is an aggressive carver, well YES! that is what the Custom X camber is all about. For the best experience, you may need both versions. ;)

Hello i am from euro can you tell me what x custom buy . 150 or 154 i ride custom 150 and he is too slow to me and dont hold great on ice nice but not great . I am 166 cm tall and my weight is 66 kg . What is more inportant too ride fast long of board or stifness ?

The 154 Custom X camber is a great option for you. The extra length and stiffness will allow you to be stable at high speed and have better edge hold on ice.

Do you think a beginner could start on this board? (if it is in their budget of course)

Custom X would definitely be a challenge for a beginner. The board is very stiff, snappy and the sidecut is meant for someone who is in the "expert" realm of things. The Custom X is most commonly used by experts in the backcountry or in high end half-pipe competitions (olympics,x games). A more suitable choice for beginner (softer, more forgiving boards) would be an Instigator or Process from Burton.

This board will perform well on most powder days. Set the bindings back and make the nose a little longer. If you are looking for a powder board, I recommend a Burton Hometown Hero.
