yep totally agree. I def fall in that first chair / last call - hard charger style and this board is a total fit. combine it with a flexy powder board for those freshie days and you're all set

100% accurate review. I've rode a custom x now for the last 3 years. Road a Burton free thinker prior which is really soft and playful and the custom x is a stiff b**** and will kill you if you try and butter something.

this is the board im getting after I am done with my current one. I consider myself a noob and need probably 2 more season to get to the point to ride this, but definitly this one is my next board. I am currently riding Rossignol District 2022

Don't listen to Avran he is a Burton hater. I have rode a custom x for years now. I picked up a 13 model a few years back after falling in love with my bro's custom x ( 2008 model). This board is a BEAST!!!!!! My new high speed this season. Was 79.5 mph on Spruce Ridge at Sunrise Ski Resort in ne AZ. Get one N hold the fuck on!!!!!!!

@@jesusfreak3587 I'm still riding my 2008 Custom X, still feels as solid and stable as ever. I love it. Last season the toe strap on my Salomon spx90 bindings broke. No replacement parts available so I used that as an excuse to replace them and splurge on a set of Salomon quantum carbons. Looking forward to this season!

Spot fuckin’ on. Still applies in 2024. It isn’t a quiver of one, but it does exactly what it did back then. Albeit, perhaps a little more forgiving than it once was. I’m getting old, and I still found this board encouraged me to fly off rollers, confidently lay down trenches, while (to my surprise) also being rather playful. I’m no pro, but if you like camber, and have they funds, I t’s a great option.

Could you explain what you meanwith the phrase "load it up"? You mean when you want to ollie? Or just generally when carving, you got to put in some oomph to really get those good turns?

Load it up: Putting a downward pressure into the board to initiate rebound while utilizing the flex points of the board.

I ride mainly groomers, off piste, resort and occasional bowls. Would you recommend the pyl or custom x ?

@@AngrySnowboarder would that serve me good? I ride keystone mainly so I do night ski a lot also and encounter icy patches. Bombing those groomers at night are fun. Would I also still be able to hit the occasional side jump with the pyl?

I don’t ride switch really either more just looking for a speed/carving board that’s playful. I do like a stiffer board as I’m a bigger guy. I’m looking at new bindings too likely union atlas or Rome cleaver or katana.

Sidecut is small radius on warpig, it's going to drag at high speed and trying to do long-radius turns. Custom X will be better.

Do you have functioning hands? Do you have butter? Do you know how to put butter on toast? If you answered yes to these questions you can butter your toast with it.
