You should have done the test while inside it. The condensation inside the tent sprays down on you from the rain drops hitting the top of the tent. It happened to me last night. My sleeping bag was soaked by morning.
Really good review, brother. I like how you showed / discussed what makes this design so superior. Great feedback. Thanks for putting this together and sharing!
Since no one was inside the tent and there was no heat source to raise the temperature, I suspect that the temperature difference between the inside and outside of the tent was not large enough to cause condensation. Anyway, thanks for the great experiment.
Love my durston. But condensation comes from you being inside it and breathing in it all night. This tent, like all single wall tents, have condensation. It’s just a matter of how it drains out without getting your gear wet. After you spend a few rainy nights in it, you’ll find it handles it very well. Nice tent, you’ll love it.
BTW The older I get the more I realize why Roosters begin their day SCREAMING OVER AND OVER.... I have 13 dead friends who ignored me and took the BS KLOTT SCHOTT....
