I like them both, but prefer the Tremor Super Duty. Good video!

Just traded a 2021 F150 Tremor 401a on a 2023 F250 Tremor XLT. The 150 was a phenomenal truck, put 40k miles total on it, nearly 20k of that towing our 7k lb travel trailer. Went to the F250 for more stability and control after a few sketchy situations with the 150 and also being maxed on payload and rear axle capacity. Used to average 17mpg daily driving with the 150, getting 13-13.5 with the 7.3 gasser, but the 250 seems to do about 1mpg better while towing. Both great trucks, different purpose for each. The new Superdutys ride so nice that I really dont feel like I gave up much in the way of ride comfort (my 150 did have 10ply tires). I’ll also say the chevy inspired bed and bumper steps on the new Superduty make it far more usable than the 150 on the business end.

I am a ford fan. Currently have the 17 f250 with PS. I prefer the super duty over the f150 for several reasons, but if i was looking at half ton, definitely f150 with ecoboost. I would take the f250 on this one, even though the new front end of superduty is crap.

Nice side by side comparison. All comes down to what you expect to do with your pickup. Both pretty sweet IMHO!

7.3L Tremor is what I'd be driving if money was no object. We just bought an STX 6.8L FX4 which I'm very happy with the looks and features. F150 Tremor is one of, if not my favorite looking half-tons. The interior is my absolute favorite. I also like the GMC AT4.

I went from the super duty to the f150 tremor. I love my f150 tremor w/ ecoboost. The torque on the ecoboost really feels similar to a diesel in driving behavior. Ive offroaded my tremor to its current limits and it performs soo well. Putting rock sliderson soon. Put full skids on at purchase

Ground clearance on the superduty tremor is 10.4 vs 9.4 on f150. Shit happens, just wanted to get the correct info out.

He's probably talking about the lowest point of the trucks which are the rear diff on both. I just measured ground clearance on both parked on concrete with identical 35" tires and psi adjusted for weight of the trucks. F150 measures almost 10.5" super duty 9.5". Superduty diffs are massive and hang lower.

For me its the F-250 XLT Tremor 7.3 Godzilla, I have no need for a diesel and for the price an F-150 Tremor costs, the Super Duty XLT Tremor is the best bang for the buck for me.

Depends on your use case, Generally HD trucks are to big and heavy for everyday off roading, that said this package on the HD trucks is great for helping to get back to a job site, line workers ext. For everyday use and mild towing and hauling the F150 makes more sense and more fun to off road.

I have a 22 f!50 tremor 402A and it’s an amazing truck. It can tow 11,000 lbs. it’s just amazing. The 5.0 is a MUSTANG motor. High revving LOW torque motor. The 3.5 is a better towing motor. The 5,0 SCREAMS when towing because it’s meant to rev high in the power band. The 3.5 tows much lower in the rev range and works less . And has 100 more ft lbs of torque . The 5.0 sounds better. But it’s still a coyote racing engine meant for the track. Great motor wrong application I take it off roading to go hunting and I live in snow country. I had a BMW X5M for wifey and this truck has as much tech (more with blue cruise ) than the bmw. Why you’d get the tremor in the super duty for off roading is beyond me. I believe the F150 Tremor is it’s own truck. Like the Raptor. The tremor on the 250 is basically an add on trim level

@tumbleweedking5668 10 месяцев назад
You'll never tow 11000 lbs without exceeding your payload of probably 1550 t0 1700 lbs. This figure gets more trucks purchased and unsafely overloaded than any other statement.

@adamharriger5193
@adamharriger5193 10 месяцев назад
@@freedomisntfree_44Its rated for it but with the typical 1500-1700lb payload you will never be able to get to that number without being over payload and rear axle capacity. Owned a 401a 150 Tremor for 2 years, was a great truck but I was over those capacities with a 7k trailer and my small children in the truck…2 near accidents later and I now own a 250 Tremor.

Half ton crew cab trucks have taken the place of just about every other type of vehicle for a primary family vehicle. They have more room than just about any car and give the owner the ability to do just about anything they want as far as hauling and towing. Now with that said I think a 3/4 ton crew cab truck is an even better option because it opens up the towing and hauling possibilities to a lot more things and still has all the amenities of the 1/2 ton. It also doesn’t make you make too many sacrifices either, although they are A LOT bigger. The numbers don’t do them justice in this video at how much truly bigger they are. I’d pick the 3/4 ton but I have an enclosed car trailer. And while just about every modern 1/2 ton is rated to tow it, it’s a much better towing experience with a 3/4 or 1 ton truck. Now if I just had an open trailer, maybe I’d consider going back to a 1/2 ton for the better ride and slightly better fuel mileage. That would be the only way though lol.
@btl4220
@btl4220 9 месяцев назад
after owning a 1/2 ton (which I love) for a few years it’s become apparent to me (IMHO) even though 3/4-1ton are more $$$ these offer so much more capability (especially payload) I’m gonna have to get one sooner rather than later

Nice comparison so far. I’m curious what mpg results are going to be. I don’t think the trimmer would be my first choice if I was planning on towing an rv. I’d probably just get the sport or fx4 with the max tow package
@dundonrl
@dundonrl 9 месяцев назад
If all you're going to do is tow, then the Tremor isn't the way to go. If you're going to use it for going off road, towing an RV some times etc it's fine. (I just towed a 9000 lb travel trailer from North Dakota to California and averaged about 9 mpg, that's with my 22 F-250 Tremor that has a 7.3 Godzilla).

@trevormangus7832 9 месяцев назад
@@jackpitw I did look it up it is apparently a spicer trac lock Basically what ford used for limited slip for years before going to e locker in rear It does work great on snow and ice conditions and tapping the brakes will engage it if you have a wheel in the air. Although not as aggressive as a torsen it does act similar

Thank God old trucks are still around. All this added nonsense that 99% of people will never use but will eventually break and cost a fortune to repair because you need their “proprietary” software to even diagnose the issue. I’ll stick with my old paid for pickup.
