I got the 54 inch version of this two weeks ago. Great machine. I live on 5.5 acre horse property with no horses, pastures had not been cut all summer, 2 foot tall weeds and grass. Took two passes but got the whole place done a little at a time in 1.5 weeks, 28 hrs on machine. Very powerful engine. The whole place looks like a lawn now.

There is a safety switch which is pushed in by the chute or mulching piece being attached to the deck. I took the cover off and it wouldn't start. Put it back on, no problem. It takes only a minute with 2 easily accessible wingnuts and no tools. This mower starts up first crank each time and it is a joy to use. It also mows in reverse by putting the key to the reverse area after starting and pushing in the triangular button. It will stay in reverse mode until you turn it off. All in all, for my homeowner needs, I really like this mower-and at 70 bucks a cut here in Miami, it's already more than 1/3 paid for itself in a month.

Hi and thankyou for this video. I was thinking about buying one of these. Could you please do a video on the pros and cons of this mower? I was looking at the side for the gas but there's no clear part so how can you tell how much is left/how much you have? Does this have a suspension system? Is the bagger for this special edition the same as the regular 48in? Thanks

I keep looking at the 242 version of this mower to replace my Husqvarna Rider 155. That thing is 20 years old and I know its on borrowed time but I can't separate myself from it. Such a great mower. I hope the new one can eventually live up to the hype.

Do the mandrels/spindles have a Zerk fitting?

bought the 54 inch version of this 2 weeks ago. Mine does not have zerk fittings on the blade spindles, just on the front wheel spindles and axles.

Non serviceable hydros is kinda wack. Literally just built to throw away in 5 years. Everything seemed perfect until I heard that.

You can't have arm rests with a zero turn because your arms and hands are working the steering and throttle controls at all times

Sure you can... if you are mowing large straight areas... the arm rests work fine. If you are mowing small areas with lots of turns then they are less useful.
