Thanks, I use a Lumix S5 mirrorless SLR. Adobe Premiere Pro on an Alienware M18 for editing, it's a cool setup. - John

I'm looking at the B3 atm. Thinking of pulling the trigger for a price pretty reasonable for an OLED imo. Every decent TV seems to be near a grand nowadays. I waited for black friday to see if there were any good deals but was disappointed with what there was. Thinking waiting is kinda counterproductive now. Could wait forever.

Thank you for one of the best comparison videos for the B3/C3/G3 I've seen so far! Also, a major advantage that the G3 has is a 5-year warranty vs 1-year for the C3.

I got a B1 many years ago and it's been great. The slower chipset means I now use an Amazon Firestick Max 4k. I'm considering a C3 for the living room and putting my old B1 in the bedroom where it'll be used less and more at night. I will say, I've had no major issues with the B1, but there is sometimes a bit of odd stutter with some streaming services, which I think relates to the chipset taking too long to decide on colour tone and brightness for some scenes.

Oh dear: I sooooo wish you did this video several months ago! After several months of reading and research, I was none the wiser, and in the end I went to the local store and told the guy: gimme the biggest one for 1500 euro. Do I have the best for my money, who knows... Thanks again for a nice informative video!

I have the C3 honestly my only regret is not getting the 55' but all I can fit in the space. But the picture is still great

After comparing the C3 with the C2 (65"), I couldn't see any difference between them, so I bought the C2 for 1500€ and I'm very happy with the picture quality :)

C2 is still an outstanding TV. -John

They are extremely similar. I have heard that the speakers on the C3 are actually a downgrade from the C2. The C3 has better upscaling for lower definition content, I believe. The C3 is also more difficult to tinker with, as I think the "service menu" is locked with the C3 (and B3), making it impossible to disable auto-dimming, unless you can find a way to hack into it maybe. Changing some settings in the service menu could void your warranty, but if the warranty is only one year to begin with... and if you know what you're doing, it should be okay.
@iTheGeo
@iTheGeo 5 месяцев назад
@@syncmonismI agree with everything you have written, but the tinkering part is for an extremely limited crowd and is unnecessary to be mentioned as a negative point in the comments section of a simple and straightforward video that is mainly targeting the casual viewer and not the TV nerds (they know which YT channels to check for such subjects).

Rule #1 for my friends here down under? Never buy OLED! I don't know anyone who hasn't had them minus the "burn in". Even screen savers don't prevent this. @@Peter-Tyson

Hi, can the c3 also be mounted like the g3? Almodt flush with the wall? Id like to buy my tv now but ill only be able to mount it properly until after some renovations. So id buy the c3 (its also a lot cheaper) and then mount it like a g3 some time later?
@Peter-Tyson
@Peter-Tyson 6 месяцев назад
C3 comes with a table stand. You would have to buy an additional 3rd party wall bracket for it. You can get very slim wall brackets but it would not sit as flush to the wall as G3, it's a different design.

Coming from a c9 and got a b2 77 inch and have no regrets. I don’t feel like it needs to be brighter at all (it’s about 700 nits)
@Peter-Tyson

I agree, it's bright enough for most situations. I think it becomes a bit of a spec war between manufacturers to be honest. -John

What’re the chances of burn in on the lg especially b3? Heavily considering but don’t want oled if burn in is bad or common
@Peter-Tyson
@Peter-Tyson 6 месяцев назад
I've been working around OLED since it came out. I've known 1 case of burn in from a customer who had a radio station logo on the screen all day every day for months. As long as it's not misused, don't worry about it. -John

@@Peter-Tyson At the risk of sound a tad daft, could you be more specific about what you mean by misuse?
@Peter-Tyson
@Peter-Tyson 6 месяцев назад
@@ElmoKnowsWhereYouLive5150 Leaving static images, logos, etc on the screen for hours or even days, repeatedly. There is a screen saver built into the TV that should avoid this and the TV will automatically shift the pixels periodically without you noticing. This applies to most TV's to be honest, regardless of OLED or not. -John

i dont get how the faster processor is actually worth it in any way seems like an "it must be better because it costs more" type thing
@Peter-Tyson
@Peter-Tyson 3 месяца назад
The processor is essentially the TV's brain. A faster processor is not only quicker to deal with your inputs from the remote, calling up menus, switching between apps etc without lag, it deals with how the picture is delivered to the panel, upscaling and sound. A faster processor makes the TV snappier and smoother to use and actually improves picture quality. - John
