I just bought a 22 Ram 1500 4x4 with the 5.7 Hemi last week. It's a great truck. I got the 6.4 box. I wanted the 2500 8ft box but I can't afford one. The truck weighs over 5400lbs. The people who by the 5.3 box actually want a rear wheel drive full frame sedan with a V8 but since they can't have it they the smallest box possible. Imagine how much the environment would benifit if we could get the lighter car we want. Once EVs are mandatory we will buy the gas powered 2500s instead of 1500s.
I wonder what a modern version of a simple 1970s style truck would cost with minimal luxeries. I miss the 2 door, bench seat, 8ft box, 2500, 4x4. I don't need all the high tech.
I rather buy a 2018 ram 3500 single rear wheel and put a ranch hand bumper front and back and a warner wrench with a 4 or 6 inch kings shock Suspension front and rear. Then put bank performance and amsoil with a Snorkle. Then buy a truck that doesn't come with the Allison Transmission or High Output Cummins... In my opinion. O yeah also put real Beadlock Aluminum Rim
Have you driven the Hemi 2500 Rebel? Also, wondering if the Automatic-Leveling Rear Air-Suspension is really noticed loaded and unloaded while driving. Trying to decide is it's worth the $1700 add
